New here...
 

Hi my name is Cas and my little yorkie's name is Gidget! Gidget is not home yet as she is only 4 weeks and 3 days old, but I have picked her out and paid for her. We are hoping to bring her home on May 10th, which also happens to be Mother's Day!

Currently I do not own a yorkie (although I did have one as a child), but I do have 4 other dogs, 4 cats, 2 chinchillas, a turtle, and a yearling filly (yep we pretty much live on a farm). I also have 4 children...2 girls and 2 boys! So I have a pretty full house although my oldest daughter does not live with me.

As of now I have a chihuahua (Baya) that is 7 1/2 months, a golden retriever (Roxie) that is 2, a wire haired doxie (Cooper and our only male)that is 10, and a short coated wheaten terrier (Cheyenne) that is 12...all of which of have been "fixed", just wanted to let you know so that you don't get the wrong impression. And now we are patiently awaiting the arrival of Miss Gidget to come home.

I have become a member bc I have some concerns about a few issues that I will address in later posts. I wanted to read up on the age old dilema of to spay or not to spay and at what age. I recently (as in just last friday) had my chi spayed and she developed hypoglycemia so badly afterwards that we almost lost so her. So now I am very worried about what to do about Gidget's spay. But I will address that later when it gets closer.

So anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you history and say hi!
