I am so lonely so!!!! After the loss of my Wee Sammie..only a few weeks ago..but seems an eternity..hubby and I have decided to go for another wee baby....He will be eight weeks old in 2 weeks time..when we go to collect him. In fact we have a choice of two..one being very small..so we may go for that one..as our sammie was very small...!!! I have owned Yorkies since 1978..and this is the first time since then that we haven't had a dog in the House....I just can't stand it. I am sure my wee Sammie will be looking down on me and will understand why I need another baby to love. As for a name I am thinking of Chelsey...will that be o.k. for a wee Boy do you think? Oh I do so love Yorkies....Will get some piccies on of him when we get him. Chrisann...xx |
I'm sorry to hear about Sammie but congratulations on the new one!! I'm sure he'll bring you much love! |
So sorry about the loss of Sammie. I'm sure your new baby will help heal your heart. I think you should call him whatever you want to call him:) |

I am going through the same thing. I lost Millie a month ago, and my heart is broken. She was only 1, and it seems it was unexpected complications from routine surgery. We are getting our wee boy in just over 2 weeks time, and he will be 9 weeks. I am searching hard for a name, but nothing seems to suit at the minute. I didnt pick Millies name til I seen her, and it wasnt one I considered, but her registered name was Emily, and I thought Millie suited her. I look forward to having something to put my heart and energy back into, but a piece of my heart went with Millie. |
So sorry for your loss..congrats on your new baby. |
So sorry for your losses of Sammie and Millie. One's house is so empty without a furbaby. I know your babies are looking down smiling that you will both be getting new babies to ease your heartache. |
I hope you find comfort during your loss. I had 2 yorkies, Dudley and Mufasa (stepbrothers). Both died alittle after the 11th birthday. I had two more dogs which helped but I was always looking for that little exclamation point following behind. After about 7 months I decided to get another yorkie. I named her Tia Dalma after the sea godess in the Pirates of the Caribean movie. I was leaning towards a pirate name as my shih tzu is Jack Sparrow. Other names we considered were Pepsi (because the breeder sent up a picture of her next to a coke bottle) Sara Jessica Barker, Te-a Cup, Lateeka (from slumdog millionaire), Bella and ofcourse, the Black Pearl. We kept looking at her pictures, but when we saw her, we knew she was Tia. She is 3 months old now and 3.5 lbs. I am very happy having that little someone running around the house and although no one could ever replace Mufasa, you will find a special spot for her next to your Millie. Cannot wait to see your photos and hear all the exciting stories about your new pet. Good luck and keep us informed!!!!!:animal36 |
You must be so excited. I am very happy for you:) |
I'm sorry to hear of you loss. But I am happy to hear you are getting a new baby soon! We can't wait to see pictures!! Sammie is smiling down on you! Chelsey is a cute name. I think Stevie is a cute name too and kinda goes with Sammie, just a thought!:) |
Chrisann...I'm so sorry for your loss of Sammie..... I think another Yorkie is just what you need to help heal your heart!!!!! Good for you!!!! I can't wait to see your new baby!!!!! My daughter lost her baby in a tragedy a month or so ago...and we got her a new baby within 2 weeks...and it has done wonders for her mourning..it has also allowed her to share her love with another yorkie!!! You've owned yorkies for a LONG time...so ofcourse you feel that void too!! Congrats! |
Sorry to hear of your Sammie loss. Congrats on the new wee babe! |
Thanks all.xxx You are all so kind..and you have some lovely pets too.!!!! I would ideally like to have 2 again...as they are a comfort for each other when we go out...So I may have a companion later in the year fo him if all goes well. I work from home...so am at home for most of the time..and can give them all the love and training they need..Just hope he turns out to be as good as the others that I have owned...They are all so different aren't they...!!! I know there aren't a lot o you on here who are in the U.K. like myself..but we still love our Yorkies over here..there are some wonderful Breeders who raise lovely pups too.!!! And don't we just spoil them rotten..xx Chrisann. xxx |
