How big will he get?
 
Hey guys:)
Ok well I'm looking into buying a little boy who is aprox 7 months old. I was wondering if you guys have any idea of how big he may get if hes around 3 1/4 pounds now, thanks:)

If he is already 7 months old he more likely will be around 4lbs, I would not think he will go over 4 1/2 lbs. That is a great size. Get him. they are still very small but healthy.

My little girl has not grown since she was 6 or 6 1/2 mos. She was 1 1/2 lbs at 5 1/2 mos and is now 10 mos and stays between 2 and 2 1/2 lbs. My guess is that little guy is about done growing. My guess would be no more than 3 1/2 lbs if he even makes it to that

Sounds like he will stay small. Probably not more than 4- 4.5 lbs. That is a nice size. Any smaller and they are more of a worry. Best of luck!

Is yours a toy? Or did you just get lucky that she is so little?

I believe that my Pierre was the runt... he is about 9 month and 4 lbs and 10 oz. I hope he doesn't get much bigger...

I am hoping to get another Yorkie in the next 6 months... hoping for a small one again... just curious!! =)

I would guess he will stay under 4 lbs. My yorkie was 1.5yrs when I got her and 4.5lbs which is a great size, I would be scared with anything smaller.

Hi, Welcome to YT!!

My guess is that he will grow a little bit more and you may be looking at 4lbs which is a nice size. When mine was young she stopped growing tall when she was around that size and just filled out nicely. she's 4.4lbs at 3 years old and have been that way since she was about a year old.

Mine is a biewer, and the breeder doesn't breed for tinies by any means, but, once in awhile they throw little ones. The breeder figured she would stay between 2 and 2 1/2 lbs and she was right. She thinks she's big though and it's funny when she does the bull charging(or that's what hubby calls it). She looks at you with these tiny little eyes, and gets her feet going like she's going to charge any minute. We love this little girl so much. I'm still trying to figure out how she got throught the opening in the gate during the storm lastnight. It's only 2 1/4 inches and she can't jump and we pretty much have the whole bottom of it blocked off with poster board, except one of the little openings. I put my head up just as she was running in to the bedroom..:confused:

Note that all Yorkies is a toy breed. They are just to be under 7lbs but sometimes they do get bigger. Just not what the standard is to be.

I had no idea what a biewer yorkie was until right now! They are adorable!! A very nice way to mix it up! Sorry to hear she got through that tiny space! They sure are smart little things aren't they?? :cool:

I got Carlie when she was 6 months old she weighed 3.8 she will be one on the 27th of April and she weighs 5lbs exactly. I hope she stays that small.

Lol our little guy can't jump out of his 30 inch high xpen but ......HE CAN CLIMB OUT OF IT :rolleyes:. He jumps as high as he can grabs the sides at the corner and over he climbs. They are just to smart. We have to keep it covered to keep him in.
