Thanks :) And I will send you one of my "secret" lattes. hehehe. |
I totally understand where you are coming from. My oldest boy, Hamish, is 19 pounds. I am forever getting "is he a silky?" or "what is he mixed with" even though he is totally, 100% yorkie. drives me batty. So, I came up with a clever comeback for all these dim wits who think its ok to pass comments about my baby boy: "Yes, well, he just had too much personality to fit in a 4 lb. body" now, it sort of stinks cause my new baby is 3 pounds, but...hey, it gets me through the night. Just come up with something witty to say back. Like, "oh, merciful heavens, no....shes all yorkie, we waited years to find one with such perfect ears" or something... Good luck Kate |

Hehe, I will have to remember that!! Thanks! ;) |
I love floppy ears on yorkies. :) I think Maddy is just darling. I love your avatar. Unless people are asking rudely, I would let it go... they are not familiar with the yorkie breed. I find myself doing that sometimes, like I kept insisting this one mixed dog I saw must be part Westie because of the tail, I'm sure the owner was kind of annoyed that I was telling her what her dog was, ha ha. I don't know what got into me. Sometimes when you see a dog, it's like a puzzle to guess the breed(s) right. I was talking with one woman who was actually very nice, but kept referring to Thor's coloring as "freaky". |

Thanks so much!! :) Thor is SO SO cute. I love his coloring! |

OMG!!!! Thor's color is ANYTHING but FREAKY!!! He's gorgeous!! Can't believe you didn't get a little riled over that Merc! LOL You're just too nice!!:p |
Yorkie My baby is a Morkie, and I had thought he would always have floppy ears, that is until he went to the groomers. Now his ears stand straight up like a Yorkie. But.....floppy or stand up, I love him sooooo much. :aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
I totally think she looks like a Yorkie. And I think she is ADORABLE!! Some of the best coloring ever, she's sooo cute. I always get the "He's a yorkie?!?!" comments because Jackson is 13 pounds at 6 months old! LOL. I don't care. Most people end up saying they like his size better. This little girl about 9-10 years old asked me the other day "What kind of yorkie is he?" and I said "Well, he's a yorkie, there's only one kind." And she goes "No, ya know, the ones you put in your purse..." I was like nicely, "Oh, well there's only one kind of yorkie. Jackson is just a bigger one." |
I love your baby's coloring and look, cause I love it when Bonnie has her ears down. That is when she is all sweet and snugglie (which isn't very often) LOL I think, honestly, that a lot of people don't have a very good grasp on dog breeds. So don't take it too hard. I had more than one person ask if Bonnie was a yorkie this weekend. |
Your baby looks nothing like a Shih-Tzu. She looks like a pure beautiful yorkie. I had another yorkie owner walking her yorkie who looked almost just like mine in size and color askes me what breed is my dog. In my head I was like is this lady for real. Some people may not know the breed so they don't know any better but others are just plain ignorant. |
