I am just in tears, crying my eyes out after reading this thread. I cannot even begin to imagine what you and your family must be going through right now. I AM SO SO SO SORRY :cry: I honestly do not even know what to say here....this is just so incredibly tragic. :cry:

I can tell by reading your post though, just how much you loved little Sweet Pea, and I hope that you will *please* find peace in knowing that she knew just HOW MUCH you loved her. Please try your hardest not to think about the bad things that may have happened right before Sweet Pea's passing - the thoughts will only haunt you and make you hurt even more.

Take comfort in knowing that she loved you dearly, and you and your entire family loved her and gave her the BEST life that you could have possibly given her. Accidents happen all the time to everyone, and what happened to Sweet Pea was indeed tragic, but it is NOONE'S fault. Any of you would have helped if you could, but you didn't know.

Sweet Pea knows you loved her....and that is what matters. She is looking down on you and your family from Rainbow Bridge....and she is smiling :rbyorkie:

Aww ... I'm so sorry to hear this and my heartfelt sympathies to you and your family. I know it has to be a difficult time. Our dogs are members of our family and a loss the heart doesn't care how many legs something it loves walks on.

We are so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of your precious baby.
We lost our little man on Sunday and today was the first time I took his 2 little sisters back to our park. They were so upset - they wouldn't even walk. I had to carry them the whole time and everyone said "Where's Georgie?"
It was just too soon for us and for you too.
We all feel displaced and our family dynamic has totally changed.
Time will help but I think you need to get another pup ASAP to help your son and the rest of your family get through this heavy coat of grief. Sebastian
needs a distraction too. It is hard to imagine loving another dog at this time but your love just multiplies.

omg that just break's my heart......... I am deeply heartly sorry and I am sorry for her dieing pain how Big was ur pool was it a childrens pool.... or a regular in grown pool poor baby what a way to go... I feel bad for ur son also cause he would probably live with the guilt altho u don't blame him I am soo sorry u all will be in my prayers xoxo:(

Reading about your loss and the others losses also is so heartbreaking. That I think is the hardest part of getting our furbabies is knowing someday we will have to face losing them. I am so sorry this happened so soon for your families:( I waited 10 years after my last little one passed and I know I would be devistated to lose our little guy. Will be praying Gods strength for you and your family and give that little boy an extra hug daily I know how hard the loss is for a child as well.

I am sorry that your family has suffered such a huge loss. You are being so strong holding back your emotions so that your son doesn't feel terrible for not letting Sweet Pea back into the house. We are all human, and we make mistakes. This could have happened to anyone.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Please don't beat yourself up or think of all the what-ifs. These accidents can happen to any of us at any time, and all we can do is love them with all our hearts while we have them. It sounds like you and your family did exactly that. I hope you can find peace in all the wonderful memories you have.

I am so sorry about your baby ...I am kinda worried about your son though they have so much stress on them from scholl and ect. and him knowing he hurt you so bad and also his guilt kinds worries me.....Also you do need to cry and get your feeling out do so somewhere where there is no one there..You will feel better somewhat...And I believe it will help you to get another one ...It helps ...When I got mine she was almost 3 And I couldn't ask for a better dog But I just have the one so maybe someone here can tell you more about getting a 4 year old....Sending prayers your way

I am so sorry for your loss:( It's heartbreaking to read about one of our YT friends losing one of their little angels.

Rebel fell in my goldfish pond not too long after I got him and reading your post gave me chills. I thank God every day I was right there to get him out.

He still plays around the edge, but he's very careful around it now.

For other pool owners who may read this thread....I highly advise getting a scamper ramp for your pool. Skamper Ramp Animal Safety pools
