My girl used to do that whenever she got a good chew of the cat or just finished servicing the cat's behind. It even happened after she had only pounced and chewed on the cat's ear for seconds. It really depends if she got the chance to get really into it.
Now, I had addressed this concern with each of the vets I had visited with before I had settled on one. The general consensus was that it was alright as she was just showing her excitement. But if I recall correctly, one of the vets said I should try to keep that to a minimal. At first I was concerned that she was getting too "worked up" over chewing the cat, and concerned, like little children who get too tense and end up pinching hard, well, I did my part in stopping the play when it looked like it was getting too rough and she'd undoubtedly come out of it with quivering lips. I was also worried her little heart might not be able to handle all that excitement her quivering lips would indicate she's experiencing. :p
She seems to have grown out of it now. I haven't noticed her lips quiver even once for months (she's a couple months over a year old) in spite of more lengthier and involving romps with the cat. They're both female, by the way. :p |
