What does fly paper, Yorkies, and Shout have in common? Yesterday my Bailey got wrapped up in a nasty piece of fly paper complete with flies. He had them in his coat and everywhere else along with the sticky stuff. I jumped in the shower with him with his shampoo but no budge on the sticky mess. I have been using Shout as a hand cleaner for oil and goo that soap won't remove. I used some on him and it removed the sticky mess immediately... rinsed him off, cream rinse and walla......... a clean little boy again, but probably not the wiser. It was also suggested something like Olive oil might have worked also. Regards to all, Samc and Bailey |
What an ordeal!! Haha, I can just imagine how frustrated and amused you were at the same time..haha |
WOW that stuff is HARD to get off yorkies - a friend just had that happen and went nuts trying to get it off - I wish I knew about Shout working before - that's good to know - I have one of those nasty things outside on my patio and had to move it cause I stood up into it - Talk about doing a Duck and Jump...I almost freaked when I realized I came close to getting my head stuck. |
How great you found a solution to a very sticky problem. |
EEEeewww!!! LOL - I don't mean to laugh at you - but that story absolutely cracked me up!! Sorry you had to go through all that!! |

Goo Gone is a wonderful product for removing sticky stuff. It's non-toxic and smells wonderful......like oranges. |
