8 Yorkie pups in petstore
 
This morning , I was shopping with my friend and we decided to look at one petshop . :eek: There were 8 Yorkie puppies crying there little hearts out to get out of there . My friend who belong to a dog rescue group immediately called her friends . Can you imagine they were not older than 6 - 7 weeks old,there were a lots of mix breed pups and kittens too .

I met a woman with a maltese at the dog park on the weekend..her Maltese was bought from a petstore~~ at 6 weeks...almost died was sick for 4 months...has the WORST red eyes ever (tearing)...and she still isn't housebroken at 1-1/2 years old...she is skiddish, aggressive..and barks at every other dog..poor thing..at least I told his owner about Petstores and why in the future she should try to see the breeder and at least the mother to see breeding practices, temperment etc... and informed 1 more person!!

It is in Montreal , Canada . I am calling the Yorkie Rescue Teams to see if they can do something about it .

Thats great htat you are doing something to help. The yorkies I have seen in pet stores were always nervousy and shaking.

Gidget is from a pet store :( (The person who bought her was a impuse buyer and then we took her in) But luckly she is really healthy.....A bit nutty but knock on wood no health issues....It always breaks my heart to see all the animals in pet shops :(

This is a shame , these co - called dog breeders should be stop in their tracks and right away .

Reality is that there will always be breeders like them as long as there will be desperate buyers wanting to purchase those pups . We have to inform the prospective about puppymills , petstores .

I am sure that the puppies will be rescued and placed in new homes , the Yorkies , the mix breeds and the kittens too . They deserve better than this .
