Running around Crying?? my 1 year old yorkie LOLA, has been scaring me Lately!! We'll all be downstairs together, & out of NO WHERE she will run up stairs super fast while making this cry/screaming noise. [almost the same noise she makes when she gets stepped on.] She will pace the ENTIRE house making that noise. I will call her back downstairs to remind her where we are & then the problem stops!! But i'm very curious as to why she does this?? Has this happend to anyone else? I'm not sure if this is an anxiety issue or WHAT! |
Hmmm could she be hurt? Maybe her leg or something? I Think that sounds strange, but im no expert. |

You really need to get her examined by a vet. The cry is a sure sign of pain, and the running could be that she is trying to get away from the pain. I would not shrug this off and would try to restrain her activity until Monday when you can get her in to see a vet. |

Good luck with the puzzle. |
Hmmm.......that would scare me too. I wonder if she's just playing and is suddenly getting a stabbing pain, which makes her think something has hurt her, so she's running. Either that, or something is scaring her (loud noise) and she is screaming and running from it. On the off chance that she has some sort of injury that is coming and going, it would be worth getting an appointment at the vet, just to be sure. Keep us updated on what you find out, because I'm curious now! |
Ghost Busters Okay - I might get some eye rolls here.... but if all checks out well with the vet and they find nothing physically wrong with pup-pup. Have you ever heard that dogs are very sensitive to the spiritual world? I know someone who had the same problem with their dog. (cross my heart - hope to die) The little thing got spooked and was running around like it was frightened. After a clean bill of health...someone suggested that maybe there was a "spirit" in the house that was spooking the dog. Turns out they found out someone did die in their house.....to make a long story short (and this is going to sound whacky - but it worked) One family member kindly asked the "spirit" to please stop scaring their dog. They acknowledged to the "spirit" that although it was okay to share their home with them, they would prefer them to please stop bothering the dog..... I know some of you might believe this story and some of you might think....oh boy...another whack job...but I swear this is a true story. |

To me, it seems like, she is looking for you guys. As if she has forgotten where all of her family has went? If your all in the family room, than she takes off running upstairs looking for you in all the other rooms crying and screaming, could it be that she is trying to find you? Have you called her? Let her know where you are , and your still there? Is your house big? DO you think that she is getting lost? Is the house dark in certain parts when this is happening? She is just confused? How is her sense of smell? i would get her a full exam , to rule out anything medically. There are not other Symtoms? Excessive panting? Drooling? Or exhaustion? Drinking too much water? No fever? |

maybe her leg slips out of joint and by going up the stairs it helps to get it back in place, i would have it checked out several years ago i had a poodle that had a leg that done this he would scream out and run or sometimes he would just be on the floor going around until it was back in place Betty & Micah my love:aimeeyork |
First of all this does sound like a pup that might be having some sudden pain Def just relate this to your vet and have the dog checked .... if just for your own piece of mind as for the spirit world ... yes I do agree that dogs are much more sensitive than we are but there is much more on this earth that affects dogs than elsewhere I once lived in a house where there were spirits ... a true haunted house  Every once in a while our pug dog would wake up and stand at the end of a hallway where our bedrooms were at the other end of the hall was a set of stairs and she would bark and bark until we calmed her down sometimes the hair on her back would come up and she'd back up as if something was coming toward her That wasn't the only thing that happened there but the only thing that involved a dog :animal36 |
Bailey does somthing similar to this... he will start shaking and whining but it's b/c he hears a noise he doesn't like or a loud noise. He doesn't like thunderstorms or fireworks, etc. Actually our tv changes channels on us out of the blue! I swear to god, it has done it to my bf, to me and to both of us in the room at the same time. It seems to only do it when American Idol is on too...LOL! |
