my yorkie is 10 months and about 3 pounds and has went in heat for the 1st time i am not going to ever breed her and planned on spaying her before she went in to heat but that didn't happen, every one says it takes 3 weeks so does anyone know if her pee pee will go back to the size it use to be or will it stay big now? and how long will it take for her boobies to go down?

Her vulva will get smaller after heat.
The mammary glands may or may not get too much smaller.
It does take about three weeks but that is average.
It can vary quite a bit.

When a female dog goes into heat her body will go through all the changes it would as if she had been bred and got pregnant. Sometimes the symptoms will last as long a 63 days. She may act differently than she did before her heat cycle. She may lay around and she may not be as playful but after two months she should be back to normal. The heat cycle will last 3 weeks but it will take longer for her vulva to get back to normal size. My recommendation would be to have her spayed in about 2 to 3 months. Good luck with your baby.:)

thanks for the reply im new to this, and have learned so much from this site. i have been worried because (i guess the name for it is vulva) her vulva was tiny before this and now it is HUGE i was a little worried it looks painful and so i did not know if it would go back to so small.
