Well Sue, I think you should give up some more info like, age, weight, how did you adopt them. What info would you like? Also this board has so much information. There is even a section on puppies. Congrats!! |
Congrats on your 2 new babies!!!! |
Welcome!!! Congratulations on the new babies. Did the breeder give you an idea on how much they were eating before? How much do they weigh? If they are real tiny they need to eat every 4-5 hours. Just make sure they are eating and watch for any signs of hypoglycemia. You can get some Nutrical to have on hand so if they don't seem to be eating enough or seem lethargic or limp give them a little of that to get their sugar up. That is the most important thing to me with little puppies. You will find a lot of great info on here and ask any questions you have!! |
Congrats!! cant wait to see pics!!!!!! |
Congratulations and Welcome to You and your 2 new babies to Yorkie talk...:welcome4::yorkietal What are their names? How old are they? I would keep Nuri-Cal or Karo Syrup around in case they have any low blood sugars! Rub it on their gums to bring up their sugal level. Depending on their age they should be fed 4-5 small meals a day. Potty them within 15 mins. of eating...Use puppy pads inside to help with potty training. I would use a crate during the day or and ex-Pen when you're @ work lined in Pee-pads. Good-Luck with the 2 little ones and Have a Happy Easter together...:goodluck::yorkiesar:aimeeyork:aimeeyor k:eggs::helibunny::bunnysmiley3: |

Welcome Sue, would love to see your new babies. My suggestion would be to free feed, keep their water and food down at all times. |
Welcome to YT! Congrats on the new babies! Quote:
Seriously though, I believe free feeding (leaving a dish of food and water available at all times to your puppies) is a great way to ensure that both puppies get plenty and hopefully you can avoid any drops in sugar. I'm so glad you got the Nutrical already, as this is very important with Yorkie puppies. |
free deeding is the way to go. I always leave food and water down for mine. Most people do not use Nutrical unless the puppy is not eating enough or is showing signs of hypoglycemia. it isn't to be used as a daily thing. it has the possibility to cause your pup to become diabetic. congratulations on your new puppy. |
Just wanted to say congratulations on the new puppies!!!! |
