Up late, thinking, thought it was nice. I'm up late doing some research about my cat. I got to thinking about when I went to the city last weekend. I had my Tila with me and we met a cute older couple. They were going crazy over Tila, petting her and loving her. The man said, "she's so sweet, I have a yorkie too, but he likes to bite me." They were such an adorable couple. What surprised me the most was when they were done playing with Tila, they thanked me. Most people won't even actually ask if they can pet her, let alone thank for petting. They were sweet. :) Not that I mind if people want to pet her, I just don't like it when they try to grab her out of my arms. |
They do seem like a sweet couple. It is nice when people do not automatically assume they can grab your pet and cuddle or play with them. |
Awww, that is sweet. Our 4 year old neighbor girl always loves on each of my dogs and then thanks us for letting her pet them. It's so adorable coming from such a tiny person. |
That WAS very nice..............and unfortunately uncommon. Every once-in-a-while, I will see people in public when I have Silvia with me and they will ask if they or their child may pet her, which I normally always say yes. Once I did have a lady tell me thank you after her two-year-old "petted" Silvia by banging her on the head a couple of times. I think they lady saw the fear in my eyes, and said "thank you" almost as if saying "I'm sorry." |
