She hates me! Ok, maybe I'm being extreme. She still loves me. But I feel so bad. I'm on a 30-pound weight loss journey, so after working out I went upstairs to weigh myself. There was a square of toilet paper on the edge of my scale (I have no idea why.. lol) and I didn't see it until it was too late and I was already stepping on it. Of course, my foot slipped and I had to step/jump onto my other foot.. and Roxie chose that exact moment to walk right where my foot was landing. Ack! I stepped on her leg! She screamed, I screamed, I did some weird James Bond jumping move, and fell to the side.. and in the process I ripped my towel rack out of the wall. Luckily Roxie's leg seems fine. She was mad for 5 minutes and wouldn't come to me. I felt so bad.. :( But now she's back to cuddling on my lap. DH is going to love fixing the towel rack.. lol. |
Glad she is ok.....Congrats on the weight loss that is fantastic |
aww how cute. Im glad everyone is alright:) |
Sounds interesting...hope the rest of your night is better!!! Good luck with the weight loss thing... Most important thing is, you and Roxie are not hurt...count your blessings!!! |
Ahhhh dont be too hard on yourself...they DO get under our feet...and quickly...she'll be ok...and she loves you...GOOD LUCK on your weight loss journey!! |
:lol tears I love the way you described the whole scene.. I could see it happening as I read! Good luck on your weight loss and I'm glad to hear you back to having a cuddler! |
I stepped on Thor a few days ago for the first time in months. I felt so bad. He made that pitiful little yelp they do. No furniture was damaged in the process, so I guess I should count my blessings. |
Lol, thanks guys! It's funny to me now but at the time I was pretty upset over stepping on my dog and of course the destruction of property. Ha. |
Love the "James Bond move" part!! HA!!! Glad you are both okay! |
i stepped on bailee today when i was making up my bed, they have the most pitiful lil scream!!it tears my nerves up...of course she was fine two minutes later lol |

LOL! That she would! Maybe I should film a little reenactment.. minus the actual stepping on Roxie part. haha |
Thank God you're both ok. Something similar happened to me. LOLOLOL |
Excellent description, thanks for the giggle. I'm glad that you guys are all OK. And good job with the weight loss! I lost 144 lbs 2 yrs ago, I know how much dedication it takes. Good for you! |
Wow, great job Shaunna! How did you do it? I'm doing the 6wbmo diet (made by Michael Thurmond, the trainer on extreme makeover LOL).. I did it last year and lost close to 20 pounds in a month but then I got pregnant and now I have wayyy more to lose. 30 is just a starting point. Eeek! Totally off topic, sorry. I'll bring it back to a yorkie subject by saying that I'll be able to run around outside with Roxie better, once I drop some poundage. haha |
:lol tears Too funny and I'm glad no one was hurt. |
Glad she's ok, My hubby stood on Boo when we first got him, OMG what a squeal he made. Now she wont go near anyones feet. Good luck with the weight loss and so glad she's back to giving cuddles |
I sometimes step on my dogs' paws. They yelp and I feel so bad. They beg me to hold them, and we get over it together. Our dogs know that we love them. It is easier to fix the towel rack than the dog. I am glad to hear that she is happy with no broken bones. |
:eyetearss Sorry, but that's hilarious!I laughed outloud and then got tickled cause I can actually imagine it (you are a very descriptive writer)! I've done the same thing to Silvia before (well, it wasn't quite as dramatic as yours), and she acted scared of me for a few minutes and then was fine. Now, my DH on the other hand has aggravated Silvia so bad before that she wouldn't go to him for almost a week. (he would make growling noises while playing with her and she HATES that! LOL) |
