2 lbs pg..need advice ASAP
 
Ok, those of you that followed my thread yesterday, the lady finally has agreed to sell the little 1 y/o 2 lb maybe pg yorkie to me!:D Problem....she told me she has some hair loss on her ears and tail; she said not a lot, but its there. She used ivermec (sp) on her 3 - 4 wks ago, but its still there. What is this?? Can my babies catch it?? She has an appt with my vet at 4 this after noon. Advise quick please; I have to call her back.

It could be poor diet, allergies, mange, fungal infection alot of things its best if the vet does a skin scrape so some things can be ruled out

That is absolutely my thought too. Poor diet or allergies. Just have your vet look at it, he'll be able to tell.

Oh and congrats on getting her. I pray that everything works out for ya'll!

It could be leather ear.... it sometimes affects the nose and tail.... I think you mentioned her dogs were kept outside(?). They get this from a reaction to the cold weather (some can't tolerate it).

I am so happy you are purchasing her.... she looks like a little "doll baby"!

I was about to leave to go get her (she's about 3 hrs away) and DH called and he wants to go to! He's such a sweetie! I did have to change the vet appt from this afternoon till first thing tomorrow. Might be a sleepless night; I'll have to keep her away from my babies.

Roxie had a completely bald tail (like a rat tail!) and bald spots on the back of her ears as well, when I got her a couple of months ago. Her tail hair has now grown back and her ear baldness is filling in. I think it might have been poor diet because her previous owner was feeding crappy Ol' Roy and now she is on a super premium diet.. I'm sure your little girl's bald spots will fill in :)

Keep us updated on what your vet says.. I'm so excited for you! Can't wait for more pictures.

Yay i am so glad that your getting her! I really hope that she is not preg. But either way she is so lucky to have found you to take care of her. She is such a pretty little girl and deserves a mommy like you. Everything happens for a reason.

Yuck on the Ol'Roy. Wow can't believe anyone would feed that stuff. Doesn't even sound appetizing does it?
