Thanks guys for all the advice and tips. Just a little update...she has decided she does like the yogurt drops and a cheesy cracker snack IF I put it on the carpet for her to get. She still will not take a treat from my fingers or palm of my hand. She still motions with her head toward the floor clearly directing me to drop it...LOL Of course, I am so glad to see her liking a treat that I mind her well. She is eating good but still doesn't seem to think that kibble is gourmet enough. I've ordered yet another brand to see if it will tempt her. I've tried combinations of the kibbles, grinding it, etc. The best luck I've had so far is "accidentally on purpose" dropping some kibble bits and pretending I didn't notice. She seems to always sneak those and chow down. I think it's a bit of the rebel in her...LOL...if she thinks she's found something I've not seen, it's so tasty...ala paper napkins. Her love and adoration of the bully sticks has not wavered. She hides them and then walks away only to decide she's not finished yet and has to have just one more chew. This is soooo cute to watch because she digs and digs on her bed. Someone has told our little one that if she digs long enough and furiously enough, she'll reach China, I think! I think we can safely drop alot of our cable movie channels because we are so entertained by her! Just her strut as she prisses off on yet another mission can make us laugh out loud! And the tail? If we could harness the energy she creates wagging her tail, there would be no energy crisis in the country, maybe even the world! This little girl is a champion tail wagger. |
