ALERT Scam artist are at it for Yorkies
 
I had my puppies advertised. I received two scaam offers to purchase. If not for my experience I would have lost both puppies and the money.

They wanted to instantly send money and pick up by carrier.
They didn't call and talk about what they wanted.(red flag)
Money didn't matter to them.(red flag)
sending money orders plus fee for me to pay carrier at pickup(red flag)

I would have gotten a call later that they were bad and I would have had to make them all good. Lost-puppy,money,plus money to make them good.
I didn't answer back. Be careful. They almost had me.

Wow, good thing you caught on to that one! they were deffinately trying to scam you!.. what is wrong with some people! :(:mad:

people that sell puppies might as well expect this. I get them every time I post puppies for sale as does my hubby who sells beagles. Just be alert. once you have sold a few litters you will learn. And they almost always come thru a yahoo email.

thanks to all of you for your replies, I have always sold only to people who pick up here themselves. I just wanted to alert everyone about this. I think it is terrible. I would have been one more angry person if they had gotten this little girl.
Oh, I put pictures in my album of the two puppies. You can see them there.

I've had a similar thing happen....twice. In both cases, I got a phone call with a TTY operator. The caller was supposedly hearing impaired. Through the operator, they asked for pictures. After sending the pictures, I got an e-mail very similar to yours. I called the TTY system but they told me there was nothing they could do about it. I got a third call using the same method and told the operator then that it was a scam and that I was hanging up. Just remember that they're your babies and you set the terms for how they are placed.

I chose not to breed Bella, but if she had of had puppies I believe I would have had to interview any potential buyer and probably even see where they would be living, what the pups bedroom would look like, what foods they plan to feed, etc...lol...glad you got your street smarts going!
