some do not like clothing.. but if you buy tshirts that are not too big on her then she will not get them off..put it on a awhile at a time.. generally when you have her outside.. is my only suggestion.. anne |

She just needs to get used to it. Both of mine were the same way when I first put clothes on them |

I buy onesies for Puddin', then I modify them. First, I sew a piece of ribbon into the back neck of the onesie. parallel to the neckband, making a casing. Then I thread some elastic into the casing and stitch ends, making the back neck of the garment elastic (this will ultimately be the throat when it is on the dog). Then I tack the lapped shoulders down so they don't separate any more, stabilizing the shoulder. Then I make a small ribbon loop and sew it to the front centre of the onesie (which will ultimately be the back of the neck when it is worn). Finally, I cut two 8 or 10 inch pieces of ribbon, each of which I firmly stitch to a shoulder. The free ends of the ribbon are threaded though the loop. I pull the garment over Puddin's head, put her front legs through the arms, then pull the ribbons and tie them in a bow at the back of her neck. This effectively snugs up the neck so she can't walk out of it. Then I snap the two outside snaps, leaving the middle one open for a tail hole. By putting an adhesive-backed panty liner in the crotch of the onesie before closing the snaps, I get a pee-proof, escape-proof garment! |

My Sachie turns "doggietonic" when you put clothes on her. Seriously..she freezes and won't move! You could cow tip her! She hates them!! It's almost as if she says to me, "Mommmy...are you kidding me? I'm a dog for God's sake..not a doll baby!" Needless to say..she won. So I gave away all the clothes that I spent sooo much money on. However, we compromised...the only day she adorns an outfit is on Halloween!:D |

It's funny how they can all be so different. Missy loves to be dressed and she's been that way since Day 1. |

It does seem like these pups are all different when it comes to clothes. :)Calleigh didn't like them at all at first either. I only dress her up when I take her out. She stayed with a good friend of mine while I was gone on vacation and they kept a T-shirt on her everyday. She didn't mind it at all. The other dog had one on also. Even now when I try to put something on her she starts to pull away but does let me do it. Once it's on, she's good to go. Good luck. |

Bria doesn't care to much for clothes... What i do is give her a treat as soon as i put it on her that way she forgets about it and its more into the treat..it works for us! |

My Violet was the same way. She hated it at first. She would dive into the nearest bed, pillow, blanket, and stay there for (what seemed like) hours. I just started dressing her everytime we went out (for walks, shopping, errands), then she started to associate dressing with going out to do fun things with mummy. Now she (sometimes reluctantly) accepts it, but as soon as she's out, she completely fine and loves to go out. :) |

JoJo didn't like clothes at first either. I found it was easier to put tank tops on him because he would escape out of his sweater with sleeves. Of course since he is a boy he doesn't wear frills, just comfy, soft, sleeveless tanks. He wears his inside the house, therefore, it didn't take long for him to get used to them. Good luck. |

I put coats on Bailey (cold and rain) - thats all. I don't recall too much fuss. She quickly associated coat wearing with going outside - so I'm sure thats why she accepted it? So maybe you can start with that? Going outside gets their mind off it?? Good luck!! |
