Since I have a backyard pool...I live with the thought that once an accident happens it can never be reversed there for I never ever leave Teddy outdoors alone. |
Gucci has never being outside alone. Then again, I live in an Apt in NYC, we dont have a backyard. She only goes out when I take her for walks and sometimes potty(she is mostly pee pad trained). |

Jade and Mitsou goes outside everyday on the patio . |
Hi Diane...to answer you question. Yes, we actually have a yard that is enclosed with a 6 foot high concrete fence all the way around it and then on top of that we also have a saftey pool fence made out of metal that is about 4 feet tall around the pool itself. The only problem is that since these babies are so small the fence grates aren't narrow enough to disallow passage to them. |

Our front and back yard is completely fenced in and we dont have any prey birds so I let my dogs stay out about 15 minutes outside. |
My crew get to spend the whole day outside on the newly completed doggiedeckdock (if it's nice). They have two play areas connected by a 100ft decked run, complete with hammocks, obstacles, toys and rope lighting for evening romps. They are having a blast ripping up and down the run, and lazing in the hammocks. So much for getting those basement shelves done this year. |
About 2 hours. Accidently! |

Stacy I will love to see pics of the doggiedeckdock. I bet the doggies love it. ;) |
outside I let mine out into a very securly fenced back patio and it's mostly covered as I too am afraid of hawks as we live on a farm. My baby sitter with the yorkies is a 8 lb poodle that is Mother to all of them even though he is a nuetered male. He defies any and all to approach his "Family". Even friends and my daughter that lives on this farm can not get thru the gate without all heck breaking loose. Even though I let them out I keep one eye on them all the time and they don't stay long, maybe a half hour at most. My desk with PC is set at a window overlooking their area so even now I can see them. They do love to roll in the grass though. Gotta go, Spencer and group are at door wanting in. Sophie Hey did you notice I finally got my pictures figured and sized so there is a picture of Sophie ( 5 months). I will try to get a pic of all of them togather. Helen & Kids |
I didn't think I would ever leave Thor outside unsupervised. As he has gotten older, and bigger, I'm not so nervous about it. Probably the longest he's been in the back yard (which is fenced) is 30-45, supervised by his big sister Izzy (a lab). I check on him, he's usually sitting on the hill keeping an eye on the birds, dogs, people in the park in front of our house. He has stayed on the screened in porch longer. He just loves to be outside. When I move to Cali I won't let him out of my sight outside. I have lived here for 21 years and it is a very tight community, I feel he is safe, but I wouldn't trust it in another area. |
