Movie Marley & Me
 
We rented "Marley & Me" over the weekend. We laughed and enjoyed it up to a point. Anyone who recently lost a pet this is NOT the movie to watch. I cried my eyes out the last part of the movie, wish I'd known.

My roommates rented it, and I already knew the ending. So I didn't watch it, because I knew I would cry cry cry. I'm sorry about Millie, also. :love:

We saw it when it first came out in the theaters and I didn't know the ending. I cried my eyes out. There was a woman who had to leave the theater. I agree, anyone who has lost a pet at all should not see this. But it was a very, very touching and warm story.

Thanks for the warning. Looked like a fun movie, but I will avoid now! My emotions are still all over the place.

I rented this monday thinking this movie would be different. My girls had been wanting to see it. I was not expecting them to show a dog being put to sleep at the end. I cried and started thinking about my own dogs. Was an ok movie,could have been different. I went to several stores before I found this so I thought it would be really good and funny. Boy,was I wrong.

Hmm... so the dog dies in the end?! :( I actually just had a friend recommend this movie to me this past week.... and she knows that one of our cats are missing. Not that we know of Conway (our cat) passing or being in danger - we haven't seen him in almost a week and we are still concerned. I was thinking about renting that movie this week but I guess I will hold off for awhile.

:( I'm sorry about Millie. It absolutely stinks losing a baby. (((hugs)))

Thanks, I had to have Millie put to sleep the end of June and it still hurts. I had to do it myself nobody else was available or wanted to cry before going to work. It was a day from h*ll.

your little angel millie is looking down on you from heaven! Nobody really knows how devasting it is to loose our best friends, ( except us dogie people), the relationship between dog and owner can be stronger than any human friendship! R.I.P. Little one.

I knew how it ended because someone gave me the book I read it, and cried. I will not see the movie

I did not see the movie but I read the book. It has been years since we lost Abby and I sobbed the last quarter of the book. It will touch your heart and make you cry but at the same time it brought back so many wonderful memories of our Lab Abby. I had planned to see the movie over Christmas break with my daughter but now I guess I will rent it and have a nice cry remembering my Abby.

I have told other that it will get easier after losing your little ones and you will remember them with a smile. This movie made me remember with a smile in my heart and tears in my eyes. I'm sitting her now starting to well up thinking about my girl and it has been over 5 years since she is gone but never forgotten. :(

I an so sorry. That is how it was for me too. I couldn't even bring myself to say the word to the vet on that very sad day. :hug: But I know that my Abby is in a much better place and at peace just as your Millie is too. :hug:

I bought the dvd . I really loved what the guy said at the end . Its so true .
