I have had to wash her little doggie bed 3 times now in 3 weeks because she pees on it! I have placed a piddle pad in her cage and its plenty room for her to get up and pee on it.. i would say the cage is 3 feet in length. I wash it in hot water and pop it in the dryer with a dryer sheet. And she gets all excited when i put it down for her when its fresh and warm out of the dryer. but it never fails.. she always pees on it. Tips? Should i just get a new bed bc this one might be the problem or what?:confused:

when you respond like she did it pushes it up so that people can see it!! Just because you wash it in soap and water it does not eliminate the urine smell so she probally can smell the scent and think its the right place to pee!
You can try washing it with natures miracle that may work but I think I would try a new bed and see if she continues to pee on it. If your using the scented pee pads just try to make sure they dont come in contact with the bed , perhaps the scent is rubbing off onto the bed...

My Fletcher lifts a leg on his bed ALL the time! I have to wash it all the time. I guess he's making sure EVERYONE knows it's HIS! LOL

Try soaking it in the tub with a vinegar water mixture ... vinegar neutralizes dog pee, then dry it without the dryer sheet so it does not get rid of the scent of the vinegar completely. That MIGHT help. Not really sure!

Vinegar works and it's cheap. I always soak my throw rugs in the washing machine in vinegar then I put them through a wash cycle. Fill the washer with water then add a cup or more of vinegar and let them soak for a bit. Run it through a cycle and then I wash them again with my soap. It seems to work for me. You can even try equal parts of vinegar and powdered cascade to hot water in the machine and let it soak. That removed nasty stains and smells from my sons football equipment. I think it's like a cup of vinegar and 1 cup of cascade (just make sure it's powder). Good luck

My babies did this too. I just put a wee wee pad on the bed then put the bed into a pillow case. When they peed on it I just changed the pillow case and the pad. It helped out with the laundering alot. Try it it works.
