I start school Monday night and my Minnie cry's whenever I leave her alone even if i leave her with Bingo. My mom don't come home from work until 9pm and I come home from school at 9pm what should I do so she don't cry for four hours. I feel so bad but I need my education also anyone got any advice even if i lock her with the baby crate in a room and I leave she crys. She cry's any time she is not with me. I feel soo bad I wish I had a baby sitter for thoise hour's I just got Bingo to watch her but he wouldn't pay attention to her and she loves to play with him :rolleyes:hmmm I know I can leave the tv or radio on but she still cry's is there any good secrets behind this lol thanx....:animal-paSOS

Are you sure she cries the entire time? Riot cries and yelps for a few minutes when we first put him in 'jail' but he eventually calms down when he realizes it's not going to get him out any sooner.

Do you have a kong or an interactive treat toy?? when I full his kong with cheese stuffing and some kibble he hardly notices I've left!

haha i love how u put it in jail no i have to buy her a kong i heard it does help i hope it helps for her yeah she crys loud i went to walk bingo today for like 10mins and i was outside of my window and my windows were closed and i heard her screaming crying like someone was killing her so i rushed in with him i felt so bad

Have you tried leaving her for, say, 30 seconds, then coming back and calming her down, then leaving again, etc? Then try slowly increasing the amount of time you leave her alone? I know you start school in a few days but if you work with her a lot over the weekend maybe she'll be a little more used to it?

yeah I'm going to have to... leave her with her favorite toys maybe some treats and some comfort stuff it breaks my heart to leave her she is so attached to me more than Bingo....Bingo is a wonderer he is a risk taker she is a follower mama's little girl and I love it she is the type of dog I can trust walking with out a leash but i would'nt cause of other dogs...

I had the same problem. I am at school from 9 til about 1 or so during the week and for awhile Mandie would cry when we put her in the cage ("jail") in my room. I just felt that the cage was too tiny for her to be in for that long of a time, so I bought gates and put them up around the kitchen so there was more room for her to play. Loaded up the kitchen with her toys, left hard food and water down.. And that seemed to help, she whines for a little while when I first leave, but then after that she finds herself a toy to play with...Definately get the kong, mandie could spend a whole day just playing with that thing.....
