i am SO Sorry.. I know exactly what your going through!! Everyone knows on here Bella was cut on her throat about a month ago.. and just like your situation the groomer did NOT ask for her vaccine records which i thought was odd... We have to be SO careful.. im so happy archie's mom is sending me a groomer video to show you how to groom your own pup. Maybe she will let you borrow it also.. :) Your poor pup.. |
i really appreciate the comments, i feel so so so terrible that i didnt not check out this before i let them take her back, the wait area was fine but when I looked where the took her i couldnt believe it.i kno things happen but i still feel like a bad mommy. i typed a letter I am going to let my boyfriend deliver to them with a copy of the bill and all. Since I am just a college student I want to be as proffesional as possible so it does not seem as if she can take advantage of me for being so young. I think if i deliever it proffesional would go out the window... |

Stop beating yourself up about it!!!! Obviously from your Original post you spent time looking for a groomer that would allow you to stay in the bldg..!!!! You're not a BAD mommy...sadly things do happen....and I'm so sorry to hear about your poor babies nose!!! That is just awful...even if they do pay the vet expenses that will not fix her possible scarring!!! I think MANY of us have had similiar experiences....but just remember NOT ALL groomers are BAD!!! You just need to either learn how to groom yourself...or keep searching until you find someone you can trust. I have cut my own baby Daizy...while grooming her...with the clippers...I had the 1" plastic guard on the clippers and she got CUT under her arm...she just flinched didn't even cry out...but OMG she was bleeding!!! The stinking clippers shaved a 1/2 inch spot under her arm!!! HOW IN THE WORLD is that even possible??? I felt absolutely horrible!!!! So sadly things do happen...even with the most careful of groomings! I have now refused to groom her ever again!!! So now I have my own dilemma to solve too!!! I sure Hope your baby is ok...and they do right by you..and pay up!!! And very good idea to send your boyfriend!!! lol No way I could keep calm and professional either! |

You are not a bad Mommy at ALL! I would contact the owner of the groomer shop. They are responsible for the accident, and nned to cover for the vet bill. I am certain they have insurance. The groomer needed assistance , and could have used a extra hand, instead if hurting your baby. I hope this doe not leave a perm. scar on her nose! Take pictures . Antibiotics are good and I am glad the vet gave them to Bailee. I hope this can all be worked out with the groomer, and they won't be to pissed off that you left without paying. However, it was an emergency. Let them know you had to get Bailee to the vet because of the injury. They are not going to be able to say anything about that! :aimeeyork |

I'm so sorry that you and Bailee had this awful experience. But I agree that you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. We all learn lessons from bad experiences, so consider it a learning experience. The most important thing is that Bailee is not seriously injured. |
i just wanted to give a quick update- i sent the groomer a letter with a copy of the bill attached(my mom suggested keeping everything in writing) and my bf hand delivered it to them. I stated that I would appreciate being reimbursed for the bill since it was, after all, their error. I told them it is likely going to leave a permant scar. I gave my cell number and said I expected to hear from them no later than Tuesday to discuss the matter. It was delivered thursday morning and I have not heard from them...Of course they still have few days left but I am calling wednesday...any suggestions on what to say if they say they do not want to pay it? |
Did they contact you?? |
i did hear from them,at the last minute lol,but they said they had a check for me to pick up . I sent my bf to get and he said they apologized and told me to please bring her back. i appreciate the apology but she will not be going back...at least it ended well! |

Yes, I agree...they did own up to it & took the responsibility. How is Bailee doing? |

bailee is doing well its healing up, but like the vet said it think the scar is going to stay...its not quite as white, its now more grey but its very obvious, but i thought of it this way, its definately a mark that cannot be denied if anyone were to steal her! thanks everyone for your concern i really appreciate it! |
