Desperatley in Need of Your HELP PLEASE! Hello, We have two 11 1/2 week old Yorkie pups (brother and sister). Over the course of the two weeks we've had them, the male has become more and more aggressive toward the female. He seems to have a very bad jealous streak where he does not want to share his humans. He latches onto the female's neck and will not let go, unless we pry him off.....which has resulted in 5 bite wounds to my daughter and 3 to her boyfriend. We have tried spraying him with water, shaking the money can, grabbing him and gently shaking him by the scruff of the neck, but he does not let go! The last incident left two puncture wounds on the female....I'm afraid he is going to kill her or hurt her very badly.....she's only about 2lbs. He is about 2.5lbs. If he is like this at this young age, how is he going to be when he gets older? We've had to keep them separated for about 4 days now, because we are afraid of what he will do! This is absolutely no fun and certainly not what we expected! Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Wendy |
OMG that's awful, I have no advice for you but maybe I would call a trainer that can come to your house. Ask your vet for a reference for a good trainer. I would be afraid for the little girl too. MOMMY TO PRECIOUS & PRINCESS:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
sorry i dont have answers, but bumping your post up anyway. good luck. |
I very curious about the response to this as well, my friend got a yorkie who was born the same day as Laci but different breeder, she brings over her little Nikko and he attacks Laci, its NOT fun play its mean and aweful, he always goes right for her neck! We thought that getting together with them would be fun but its HORRIBLE! |
fighting :confused:I had the same problem,we put a short leach on the male,Then we filled a spray bottle with water then filled it with vinager about 2 tablespoons. Then we bring them in the same room, male still on leash,if the starts to go after the girl pull back on leash, use same comand, like NO,use the same word all the time,if he becomes agressive give a shot of mixture and ,not in the face, this mixture seams to be something they do not like.It takes time. But when they are together and no leash keep bottle inreach. Then if he starts to respond in a good way, give a small treat:animal-pa The Schultz's 6 YORKIES,,,,,,good luck, MOLLY:aimeeyorkANDY::aimeeyorkBELLA:aimeeyorkBAILE Y:aimeeyorkMIDGE:aimeeyorkand last but no leastDOZZER....CATH54 |
Oh thats so awful! I feel so bad for you. I mean ideally you would think siblings would automatically get along. I have 2 boys from the same litter, they are best friends and I think they would die if they were ever seperated. I hope that eventually happens for you. Maybe when they get fixed they will be better. I know they are too young now, but get them fixed as soon as you can and that should help with aggression! |
aggressiveness REading your remarks and wondering. We have three little ones. The sisters Sugar and Spice and Pippo the puppy. Sugar gave birth 2 months ago to Pippo, a male and there seems to be a lot of pretty lively fooling around in the trio. They are racing through the house right now attacking each other (in a sporting way, I hope). I am afraid things will get out of hand. What should I look for? I'm sure this is an attempt to create their pecking order but nobody needs to get hurt. Advice??:questione |
