HELP! Cassie won't potty 2 Attachment(s) On Saturday, I just took in a 2 year old yorkie from a co-worker. I originally thought she was about a year old and was told that she was pee pad trained. This yorkie was taken care by my coworker's mother but before she passed away, the yorkie lived in the house alone for a couple of weeks while the mother was in the hospital. My coworker would come in and replace the soiled pee pad daily. I've laid out the pee pad here at my house and she has not gone on it. She's had a couple of accidents so far in the house. No big deal but I wouldn't want to that continue. I'm crate training her and the thing is I've taken her outside and to the pee pad- she just won't go at all. She hasn't had an accident in the crate in either. She only pees once a day so far and has not pooped since Sunday. What should I do?? She's such a little sweetheart and we're already in love with her. I don't want her to suffer. The pics below are Cassie (yorkie in question) and my Chewie and Cassie. |
She's cute. Poor little thing has really been thru it, hasn't she? Bless your heart for giving her a home. Is she acting normal? It will take time. When we first got Sophie (10mo) she didn't poop for a couple of days but as she's gotten used to us & her new home....well she can poop & pee with the best of them! |
She is adorable. Is she eating well? It could be possible that she is eating her poop or that she is pooping behind a couch or some place where you have not see it. If she is constipated then a teaspoon of pure canned pumpkin twice a day would help her. |
She's coming out of her shell day by day. She's eating and drinking normal. This morning she peed on the bathroom floor. No poop yet today. She's also on prednisone for yeast infection in her ears. Maybe she's constipated? I know that she hasn't pooped in the house because I've checked everywhere and I've always kept an eye on her. |
Update: she pooped outside last night and pee-ed outside this morning!! |
