Microchip Rejection I had my puppy spayed and microchipped this past Wednesday. Today, while petting her, I can feel something poking out of her skin in her neck, by her collar. I called a vet tech friend and she said they can get rejected, but it's very rare. Has this happened to anyone else here? It feels really strange, my poor baby. Now I'm wondering if the vet will put it back in or if she'll just keep rejecting it? Any thoughts? |
If it was a rejection , the microchip would go out immediately . Its normal to feel it when its recently done . |
Well, I'm not sure what this is, but it's popping out of her skin. And it doesn't feel round, more like butterfly wings or something. Not a capsule. Very strange. I'll be calling the vet on Monday when they open. The skin is covering it but it's popped out a lot. Not just a bump, it's actually like wiggly. |
That sounds weird. I would definatly have it checked. It is not supposed to come out of the skin. I mean you can definatly feel it under there, it feels like a grain of rice. |
See, that's what's weird, it's got skin over it, but it's popped up and it doesn't feel like a grain of rice at all. It's rounded ends though but skinner and like heart shaped or something. I'm wondering if it broke open in there? If that's even possible. Or if it's something attached to her hair right at her neck and I'm too scared to try and pull it off, cause it feels like skin. It's hard to explain but it doesn't feel like a capsule at all. |
