Color changing fast! 1 Attachment(s) Wow! Mia was the cutest little black and tan puppy when I brought her home only six weeks ago and now her head is pure white! Her tummy is a lighter greyish color and its white under her ears as well. I know they "break" but I didn't think it happened this fast or drastically at this age. Is this normal? Here she is now. My avatar is when I brought her home. |
Yes, It is perfectly normal:D your baby looks so cute. My Suzi did the exact same thing at her age. she just turned a yr old, and is a silver blue. Suzi had a shave a few monthe ago, and her hair is growing back that color. She is looking so pretty:) |
Missy changed fairly quickly too. Your Mia is SO cute! |
She is very cute.. |
This thread reminds me of what my groomer told me: "Yorkies are like a box of chocolates, you never know whatcha gonna get!" :) I took Bailey for her first groom when she was 3 1/2 mos old and all her puppy fur was gone - replaced with silver underneath. As her fur grew back in, the silver turned to the blue/silver and her head turned tan....now she sports the traditional yorkie colors.... |
I just got Bailey (10 weeks old) and the hair on her head already has silver roots! |
I love Bailey's mom's quote, "this is Bailey's world, we just live in it" ! I've already plagiarized the quote, in reference to my Apple...lol...And speaking of Apple....She will be 5 months old in a few days, and just in the past week, it seems there is so much silver attached to that black puppy hair...Now I'm wondering when I should get the puppy hair cut off, or do I just leave it there until she needs a "trim", when it all gets too long?...I know this isn't my thread, but if anyone reads this, I'd like to know what other peeps do? Love, Maggie & Apple:aimeeyork xoxoxoxo |
Oh Mia is adorable!! I was surprised as well with how quickly and drastically Riot's colors have been changing! |
