Does everyone think their baby is gorgeous?
 
I thought my Millie was gorgeous, and I hope I dont cause offence, but I dont think all the yorkies I see are cute.

But I assume everyone thinks their own is cute/gorgeous?

If I get a new one, I am afraid I will compare it to Millie and think its not as nice? But maybe its the whole personality we fall in love with as well as how cute they are?

It took me a little while to really get attached to Gracie Ruth after Annie B passed. But I think a lot of it was that I was too worried to let my heart go again and risk getting hurt. And although she is truly nothing like my sweet Annie, she worked her magic and my heart is totally sold out to her now.

You may compare a little at first, but these guys have such strong personalities that your new one(s) will soon win you over to their unique ways.

I think every mommy thinks their baby is just a little bit cuter than everyone elses. Of course this goes with furbabies and skin babies :D

I think it is the personality. When I went to see Tricksie, she had a sister. I held both of them and new Tricksie was the one for me and I think she is beautiful.

I agree. Their personality would win you over regardless. I do understand what you mean though. I think it comes down to personal preference. I think the yorkies in full coat with light heads are beautiful. My Lola is light but is a cotton coat so she will NEVER have very long hair. I still love her to death though!

Im so sad you lost Millie . I was looking at your album and she looks similiar to my Tia who is also 9mths old.Had a loss myself this week of my Jessie a border collie who was very sick. Hardest decision i ever made getting her put to sleep.

Oddly enough, I'm kinda the opposite........I often worry about how Silvia looks, because she doesn't really look like a yorkie. In fact, when she is in public, EVERYONE always has to ask what she is. Don't get me wrong, I think she's beautiful, but I worry about her not looking like a yorkie and it bothers me. Maybe that makes me a bad person, I don't know.......:(

I know what you mean. My Zorro´s colour is against the standard and his body is too long but he has the sweetest personality I´ve ever had in a dog. and taht is the most important and for us he is the most beautiful dog in the world. :love: We have Zorro´s halfbrother too and he looks different and his personality is absolutely different but he has his own wonderful personality and is loved by us as Zorro. :love: Both together are the joy of our life and we are very proud of them.

You're not a bad person at all! You are just being honest.

To answer the OP's question...yes, I think Missy is THE cutest Yorkie EVER! :p I think almost all Yorkies are beautiful, although I do see the odd one that isnt so cute to me. Personality is what matter the most though! :animal36

I have seen the pics of your silvia and she looks so beautiful, she is really a beauty and I can see that she is a yorkie. Look at my Zorro, he does not present the biewer-standard but he is unique as your silvia. So I think we have both absolutely super yorkies.:)

:D Thanks!! I just wish ignorant people would be as appreciative as you guys. It's like they have an idea of what a yorkie should look like and if one looks different, they're not as good. Stupid really.

To the OP, she IS beautiful, so you have every right to think so!! :D

Don´t worry about what other people said. You are right, they think a yorkie for example must have not more than 3 or 4 pounds and must have very long hair and must be dark or light or whatever. They know nothing and I find it good that yorkies can have different looks. What says a standard? Only how a yorkie must look but nothing over his personality and character. People has different looks and yorkies too. ;)
I saw in another thread more pics of silvia and I´m impressed how pretty and sweet she looks!

I think my babies are gorgeous! I love everything about them. I think it's just like our own kids.
I hate when someone with a homely child says,"Isn't she/he beautiful?"
When they have a face only a mother could love!;) My nephew looks like Charlie Brown...His head is sooo big!
I would never say anything...:eek:
