I just screamed the house down! Im freaking out!!! I just went into the kitchen to get a drink and I came back into the living room and my two GIRL doggies are humping each other! I screamed like a woman possesed! My housemate thought someone had died!!! Why were they doing this? they are about 5 months old could they be coming into heat?! Man i was so freaked out!!!!! Help lol!!! xxx |
It is my understanding that when females hump it is a domination issue. My Angel has a humping habit when she is mad at Sissy. I always say that her breeder forgot to tell her she wasn't a boy!!!! |
calm down...... they are just puppies and to them it's just play. they should not come into heat till about 9 months from what I have read. If they continue to do it just give them a toy or something else to change their attention to something else. I have a brother/sister 4months old and they have done it too but nothing to be concerned about at this young age..... Just chill and laugh at them being clowns.... |
Female dogs hump too. They are trying to be the Alpha dog. Try not to over react. Chances are good that you are going to see them do it many times again. |
hahah! thanks for the responses! i was just so shocked! were laughing about it now! theyve gone to sleep now we put it down to all the humping lol! man that was not i expected to see!! thanks guys appreciate it!! xxx |
LOL... I had a female Jack Russell that humped everything including the cat! :eek:She just wanted everyone and everything to know she was BOSS! :D |
Kandi will sometimes try to hump Gizmo even though he is twice her size. It's obviously a dominance thing, but he just looks at me like....the things I have to put up with!! LOL! |
My spayed female Chihuahua, Pixie, has huckle-bucked my poor neutered male Boxer for years now...she likes him to know who is Boss. We tell her to stop but when you think about it, it's actually hysterical to see this little Chi humping away on a Boxer...it's just wrong...LOL!! :sidesplt: |
As others told you, nothing to worry about. Just puppy play. |
I know some of us have talked about a favorite stuffed animal that gets humped. Roxie has one. It's a white teddy bear that's bigger then her. She just loves that thing. I let her go. I agree with everyone else it's just a way they show who's boss. Since Roxie is an only maybe that's why she picked the bear!! :D |
lol our "submissive" one Daisy has Fozzy Bear which she guards with her life! we are sure she is in love with him!!! she tends to get a bit keen with him lol! Oh well next time i will have to get a video of it!!! xxx |
When Bella did this i freaked out too! But i have since learned she is just telling the other dog that SHE Is the boss- I realized this after she tried to hump my sister in laws arm when she slept in Bella's spot in the bed next to me one night. She was telling my sister that was HER Spot! He he |

My yorkie is pleasuring himself I have never seen Thor hump anything, but he is engaged in a very intimate act with himself right now. Eeeee! I tried to focus his attention elsewhere, but he's very, ah, focused. I'm just going to let him do it, I guess, I mean it's harmless. But at the same time, SO GROSS. I just brushed his teeth... I don't think he'll be kissing me until tomorrow when I brush his teeth again. |
Yah, it's a dominance thing, that's all. My spayed female Maltese/JR x will jump on the male Maltese (who is neutered) and try to hump him when she's feeling stressed or out of control...also if he does something she disapproves of, like showing welcoming gestures to the puppy. I've had the male for 5 years and have never seen him hump anything...he's a very sweet and passive dog. |
