does getting a male neutered help with aggression I have heard and read different things on this topic. We have one male who really never showed dominance or aggression so I really didn't see a difference when he was neutered, he is now 10 mths old. Our almost 4 mth old is so aggressive and tries to dominate the older one all the time. He literally walks on his back legs like a bear to show dominance and he tries to bite the sensitive spots (hind legs and ears). Believe me I am doing the alpha thing with him and he will back off when I am around but it is a constant battle. Does their aggression go down at all after they are neutered? I know this will probably be something I still have to deal with I just hope it is reduced. |
My vet has scheduled Zeus to be neutered this month for that same reason. She says it should help him settle down. He started to hump his stuffed animals at two months! He is four months today and has his surgery in three weeks. I would talk to your vet and see what they suggest. |
Our Rudy was neutered two weeks ago at the age of six months. He had started getting very aggressive with our two year old Toby (yorkie/pom). We find that he is much calmer and cuddly since his male bits have been snipped, and he gets along much better with Toby. |
