Is this true? My brother has told me this a couple of times and I am unsure? He brought his male Chi over this eve, and I had my female Yorkie already in my bedroom because I was cleaning under the kitchen sink. His dog is not fixed and neither is Mine. My brother informs me that in order for a female dog to end up pregnant, she has to be in heat ? Is this always the case? I know that his dogs continue to to have puppies.... |
yes, they need to be in heat. Most females will turn away a male often with aggression, if a male attempts to mount |
There are 3 stages of heat. The first week they bleed, the 2nd week is when they actually get pregnant(when they're done bleeding)The 3rd week they're done ovulating, and although the male is still interested, the female isn't |
