Hip Hop Yorkie |
That is so adorable!! |
My my Prince certainly owns the dance floor with those moves. I am thinking perhaps his next career move should be Dancing with the Stars (he is better than some of the "stars"). |
Thats too cute!!! |
Hahaha! omg! Jackson would never let me do that to him for that long! |

SophieKate would probably do it for about 20 seconds and then get distracted by something. That little Yorkie was cute. |
I'm sorry to be a stick in the mud here, but how is this cute or funny? That poor pup is being jostled around like a stuffed animal! And when the girl turns the pup to face her, his ears shake like he is scared to death! Its one thing to play with your furbaby for a few seconds, but my goodness this looks like torture!! IMO, she shouldnt have a furbaby unless she knows how to treat them right. Ok, flame away, since im the only one who disagrees! |

I just went back and watched the video, the girl who is making the dog dance looks pretty young and probably doesn't know better (in my opinion). The little dog really is adorable. |

I don't think it was a big deal at all. Maybe they shouldn't have let the dancing go on for SO long, it did seem like a long time. But the dog wasn't struggling to get out of her grip or anything. Didn't seem cruel to me in any way. And to play devils advocate here, a lot of people think it's cruel to dress up your dogs so it can be looked at in the same way, sort of. Peoples opinions just differ. Just like some dogs aren't bothered by being dressed up (and some are).... some also don't mind being roughed around like the dancing video. It's obvious the dog wasn't hurting or struggling. |
So the next time someone comes on YT to whine and complain that either a breeder or a rescue would not allow then to own a one of their yorkies because they had children REFER BACK TO THIS VIDEO. Furthermore, after you take a look at that video go and read this post in the rescue forum http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...home-asap.html Now we are not even sure what happened to this puppy but he has a serious neck injury to his c1 and c2 vertebra, needs thousands of dollars in medical treatment AND there is no guarantee if he will ever walk right again! So if you thought this video was cute and there is nothing wrong, please reconsider what you think is appropriate treatment for these small and fragile little ones. :( |
I stand behind my thoughts that the girl who is handling the dog looks very young and does not know better. I am by no means an expert when it comes to raising a dog, I would not have been able to do it without the advice of many people on this forum and I have noted that many times. As for the suggestion to look in the forum at the Rescue section, I do it almost everyday and I offer up my prayers whenever needed. I commend people who can take in a rescue and help bring the spirit back into a defeated creature. I think some of the comments would be more constructive if they were made on the You Tube site (I have left mine there). Perhaps the person who originally posted the video would actually read them and take to heart the harm they could cause. |

I saw a comment that people with young children shouldn't have dogs?? If you raise your children right, to respect animals, i dont see why that would be a problem! All of my kids are very gentle and kind with Macy. They know love is kind and gentle, not rough. Sorry, i guess that comment just hit me wrong. |
Flag it as animal abuse. Thats what im doing.. |
Oh my goodness, I did not mean to open up a can of worms. When I stated I looked at the Rescue section everyday I was offering a compliment to the people who do the rescues. Trust me I hold those people in the highest regards. I agree children should be taught to how to treat an aminal with respect. For those of you who have children and have done so that is wonderful and I am being sincere with that compliment. I guess it is time for me to move on and fine another forum to for information. I meant no harm and only try to point out that the person in the video did look young. |

Please, please don't be offended or feel that you have to find another forum to post on. |
2 Attachment(s) Oh I am not upset, I just do not like to cause drama - I like a drama free life (good luck with that huh). I did send the girl a message via You Tube telling her that I felt she needed to stop being so rough with her dog. I explained I was not an expert but from what I know she could cause some permanent long term damage to her beautiful pup. If it does any good I am not sure? She may be you typical teenage girl who thinks I am a crazy old woman and block me from ever seeing her videos again on You Tube. Regarding rescues, I wish I had the heart to take in a dog and bring it back to health but I would end up with 50 dogs and no husband. I am attaching a picture of three beautiful orange kittens who decided I was their new Momma about 2 years ago. We feed them and kept them warm for 2 months and found them all homes. It almost killed me to send them off. I love the picture and no it was not set up, this is how they used to sleep on my porch. |
Nobody needs to move to a new forum, nobody in this thread is being accused of mistreating a yorkie (except for the fool in the youtube) and no one who has children that teach them how to act around their pups is being accused of anything~so I am not sure how this turned into something that it is not  This girl who looks about the age of my daughter is mistreating this dog. She should have been taught to treat animals with respect. Now, I would like to also say~the way she is treating this dog is the reason that people who have children get a bad rap with rescues and breeders. I was trying to follow this up with a current story happening right here before our eyes and that was my only intention by linking a post in the rescue section. So now I am totally lost as to why it has turned into something that it wasn't?????? |
