Door Gate Suggstions 1 Attachment(s) I need to find or have my dh make a gate to block the boys from the getting out of the backyard and into the garage, and possible the front yard. It needs to be portable and pressure mounted because we don't want to just use it there. I want the boys to be able to see through it and also for Julien to be able to pull the garden hose through, just like in the picture posted. We've just been using a wooden board to block Deegan, but he jumps over it if he really wants to and I'd feel safer having something more secure. I need it high enough so they don't jump it, but low enough that we can walk over it... Does anyone have any recommendations on a decently priced brand whether it be a baby or pet gate? Or if you've made your own could you post a picture or email it to me. Julien is quite handy and could make something too. Safety and cost effeciency and what I'm looking for. |
I love this one! Dream Baby Swinging Security Gate with Extensions - Black : Target It's been working great, pressure mounted, really easy to put up, nice looking and fairly inexpensive w/ a swinging door to get in and out easily! I have it in my bedroom. You can find more on target.com and walmart.com :) |
We just built our "baby gates" with a piece of 1/2" plywood cut to the size we wanted and hinged on the door jam. We then put a hook and eye on it so we can leave it open or latch it shut. Very simple, very cheap, and cute cuz I painted it with puppy feets n stuff. Oh, it's also low enough (Curly is still little) that we can all step over them with a high lift of the leg. |

We have regalo baby gates which are pressure mounted, expandable with 6" and 12" extensions, and have a walk-through gate. We got them from Amazon. They won't ship them outside the US but maybe you can get in touch with the manufacturer to find how to get them in Canada. |
