My little "smiling" guy!!!

I've been dying to post this pic that I took yesterday of Rowdy. When he is exicted to see us (like when we've been gone), he "smiles" when he sees us and it is sooooo cute. I have never been able to capture it on camera and even if I could have, I didn't know how to resize the pictures to post on Yorkie Talk. Today, Vilette was able to help me download a new program - thank you verrrry much! So here is my smiling Yorkie. I know it looks like it has been photoshopped, but I promise you I wouldn't even have the foggiest idea how to do such a thing. Anyway, he was sitting on my hubby's lap and I got the camera all ready and my granddaughter came into the room and I got the "smiling" picture. It makes me laugh out loud when I look at it. I'll also post a "normal" picture of him so you can see him "not smiling".

GREAT GREAT PICTURE ~!! You've GOT to enter that in a contest lol...I just love it !! Now THAT is one BIG SMILE ~ I know you didn't edit that picture !! Chanel will smile like that when I ask her to but only for a few seconds.... and I have NEVER caught it on camera - I try but have not once got a picture of her like you just did - way to go !

Good for you with that program - I am SUPER glad it worked for you - you're so welcome ...These shots are fantastic ! I know I'll be looking at this picture over and over - it's really great - Your Rowdy is a hoot ! What big shiny teeth he has lol

Thanks Villette, and everyone! I don't know how I got so lucky to get the picture - it's one in a million.

I have a cousin who has a big ole yellow lab and she says that he "smiles" like this also, except my cousin says it scares the dickens out of everyone the first time they see it.

Rowdy sometimes does it to strangers too, he is always sooooooo excited to see people, but they always seem to recognize it as a "smile". I guess there's quite a bit of difference between a Yorkie smile and a lab smile ;)

My husband had to come in the office to see what I was laughing so hard for!! It got him started too!!

I say there is a greeting card in there somewhere!!

I just recently had a birthday, and one of my girlfriends gave me a card and on the front was a smiling Yorkie sitting in front of a fan with fur blown back. Inside it said "These hot flashes can be a Bi*ch!"

As a woman of a certain age, it was totally befitting!!!

Meanwhile, Rowdy's smile :D is SO much better!! Thanks for sharing!

Yes! I sure can tell you LOVE it - I bet especially since you can get Chanel to smile when you ask her to! Now, that is a trick I'll have to work on with Rowdy!

WOW! did you teach him to do that or did he just figure out how to be that adorable? i always thought my romeo was smiling, but it was never anything like that!

I wish I could say that we taught him to smile - but he just started doing it all by himself. He gets so excited when we come home or even when he sees new people. One day we noticed that he was pulling back his lips and we could see his teeth, like a smile, when he got excited. I never dreamed I could catch it on camera - it was just luck!

THAT IS SO CUTE!!!! I love the smiling pics! I posted one of Scout last week. We ought to start a little gallery just with smiling pics. I would start it but I don't know how. Maybe somebody does...Anyone know, can we do it? It would be so much fun having all the little smiling yorkies together.
