All bark and no bite My Brandi......what can I say? She is absolutely all bark and definitely no bite :(. To be fair she only has 4 teeth but she is such a scaredy cat. Let me tell you what she does....it is so freaking cute and funny. Whenever I have company, my Brandi lets me know by barking that someone is at the front door....okay good dog. However, she won't go downstairs to the door, she stands at the top of the stairs (I live in a 3 sty townhome) and barks her little head off. Then when I let the person in she continues to bark but she stands behind me and barks. No matter where I move to, she runs behind me and starts barking at the visitor again, sort of like how little sisters stand behind big brothers while she is instigating a fight...that's my Brandi. Isn't she suppose to be protecting me? She can't do that standing behind me. Now eventually she calms down when she realizes my visitors are not going to hurt me or her but all of my guest just crack up when they see this :p. Brandi is only 5lbs soaking and wet with only 4 teeth so who is she going to hurt? |
That's the same as a tiny little guy who lived down the street. Haven't been seeing him around so I'm not sure if he's still... around. When my shihtzu walks by, all 2-3 lbs of him would bark, stop, come running up to a foot or two away, runs back up the steps of the house (standing by or behind the owner who's sitting there) and resumes his barking. He was such a cute little guy. As cute as yours and that little boy is, I'm glad my girl doesn't bark at doorbells nor does she bark when someone knocks. She saves her very healthy vocals for other encounteres. You should video tape your girl doing that! Would be cute to document and watch! *grin* |
