Does your baby fight the hair bows? Ginger is two and has always hated bows, clips, and bands in her hair. I usually fix it several times a day. My in-laws says its cruel to do that to her since she's always scratching and pawing at it. She does do that, but when it's tied up good, she stops. I think she looks much better with her hair up vs. cutting her hair off. Am I being shallow and cruel because I want my baby to look adorable? My husband told me that they threatened to cut off her knot when we go on vacation in May. I told him that they could if he wants a divorce too! She's my dog and I can tell if she's suffering and she seems quite happy to me. Any thoughts? |
I don't think it's "cruel." There's a lot worse things that could be done to your dog than putting a bow in her hair! LOL. But honestly, Jackson never liked clothes or anything like that, so I don't make him wear them. He rarely gets cold. He played in the snow for hours with us and was absolutely fine so I don't see it to be necessary. I won't put him through it if he doesn't want/need it. Let 'em be all natural and neeeked. |
Aw, she looks so cute with a bow in her hair!! It keeps it out of their eyes. My pebbles hates it. She rolls around on the floor trying to get it out. After a while she gets used to it and doesn't bother with it. The other 2 nuts try to bite it out of her hair. They're worse the kids. Most of the time she looks a wreck. My 15yr old daughter fusses with her and does her hair. She hates having clothes on, whe won't walk. She just stands like a statue. Only my Coco is ok with clothes. The other 2 forget it. It figures the girls hate it and the boy loves it. |
I looked at pictures of her in your album and she looks adorable with a bow and I really like her cut too. I had to save a picture to take to the groomers with me when it comes time for my little ones to go. |

Hair bow nightmare!!! My girls don't really try to get their own bands out, but as soon as I leave them alone together they pull each other's out. Rosie's hair is just now getting long enough to put it in a band, I haven't tried bows yet! Bella's is still a little too short and thin on the top. That's something else, does anyone else's Yorkie look like they are going bald? Bella's new hair is coming in white with the black tips still showing and it looks thin and from a distance she looks like she has a bald spot! Rosie's is that way a little, but she is sooo much bigger and more hairy than her tiny sister.:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |

Tobie has only had a bow one time and as soon as we got him he was fighting to get it out and so I had to take it out but he looked soo cute with a bow, I wish that he would keep a bow in his hair but I have to cut the hair around his eyes so he can see. Love it when Yorkies were bows! |
As long as it's not too tight or something then I don't think it's cruel at all! I think it's adorable and it keeps their hair out of their eyes!:p |
My Mother-in-law and Father-in-law thinkss the same thing They haven't said much about bows and clothes yet But He wants me to turn her outside to run eat grass and all that and I know it's important but not until I can get a fence up I got her a leash and collar nice one but it was to big pink ostrich leash and harness off e-bay I lost 2 bassethounds because I let the run outside and this isn't going to happen again it would kill me Barb |
Oh and with the hair bows sometimes she does the same thing trying to get it off But I have been getting Barretts for babies and there staying on her hair on top when the other person used to have her he cut her hair so it is shorter on top so the barrettes stays better in her hair,,,I noticed on e-bay they sell the barettes also for pets ...I got her 3 sunglasses barrettes yesterday lol :animal-paBarbie:animal-pa |

My Abby's top knot is thin and I have a hard time keeping a bow in:(. I tried putting a little ban in then a barrett under the ban. It stayed a bit longer but not much. Don't know what to do as I really like her with a bow in. |
