You can also try a whistle. My brother has 3 bark crazies and he went as far as to use an air horn. All they have to do now is just see the thing and they stop. They're bad barkers, it's crazy. For some reason even when they walk in the door after being gone they just keep barking. I know they're happy to see them but OMG! |

[QUOTE=LittleLolaBear;2548531] I've also tried a spray bottle, and boy, does she think that's a fun game! QUOTE] Thank you, I needed a laugh this morning! One reason I'm laughing is that I've been there, chasing Molly in a circle around our chairs. I know it must be hilarious to watch!! But frustrating at the time... I put vinegar in the spray bottle, and was told to up the vinegar if it didn't work at first. Good luck! And Molly's barking did seem to decrease as she got older...except when there are monsters outside...gotta bark at monsters! |
I have like a BUILT in clicker LMAO - I know it sounds crazy... but hear me out. lol My son - now 20 was clicker trained LOL but back then I didnt know what I was doing! All I know is when I made 'this sound' my son STOPPED and stood at attention. It was and still is a family joke, Im still asked to make it. Its like AhhhhhnnnnnnKKKKKK! Kind of growled. The sound is ALWAYS immediately before a direct command ONLY: no - get - come - sit - no bark - no touch - stay near - no play. Ahhhhhnnnkkk! No Bark! Say it like you mean it! But whisper the command if you want - that doesnt matter a bit. Try it! This noise has worked on all FOUR of my human boys and EVERY species of animal I have ever had (except my spur thigh tortoise - at 250 pds he does whatever he wants and it aint much lol). Ill youtube the sound per PM request LOL. Im afraid I wont make it back to this thread so please PM me if you want me to make the noise on YouTube. lol Any human can do it - simple and so very effective. I know - I sound crazy! |
