Oh Good Grief...My Secert Is Out!! Ok, so I'm almost too embarrassed :blush08: to admit this, but the story is just simply too funny to not tell. And we are all just "internet friends" and I'm probably safe from ever actually meeting any of you, right, so I'm fairly safe, right? I'm just a wee bit silly :jump28ib: with the kids when I'm home ALONE. And much prefer the radio or CD's to the tv when putzing around the house. Love the 70's & 80's era music, so that's usually what I play. The Lion Sleeps Tonight is a personal favorite (don't ask ;)) and I'll sing and dance around when it happens to come on. The kids love this and dance around and act the fool with Momma. It's a fun time had by all which usually result in biscuits and us all in a heap on the floor mugging each other after the song is over. I'm working from home today, I'm in the study and finally have the kids quiet and all snuggled up comfy in their beds & blankies. They were thrilled to have breakfast with Daddy before he left for work and again with Momma when I got up. And thought it was going to be grand fun to be able to run around, cause all sort of mischief and keep Momma from actually getting any work done. I've got the radio on, enjoying my favorite morning show - which is a real treat since I can't listen when in the office. Can you guess what song came on the radio...yep...The Lion Sleeps Tonight. The Lion may sleep, but not the Yorkie. Up they all jump and start running around barking and acting the fool like they always do. When the song is done they all run to the kitchen to the biscuit jar eagerly awaiting the treat. I was in the middle of an Instant Message with my boss and had a lot of trouble concentrating I finally had to just say I'd IM him back in a minute, but that I had to sign off. It worried him and when I got back on he asked me if everything was ok. I told him the Lion woke up the Yorkies and there was just too much noise and chaos going on for me to concentrate. And that I had everyone back in their respective beds and could continue. His reply..."I'm not asking and I don't want to know." :p Bless his heart, this is the same boss that I nearly gave a heart attack to last week when I told him I needed to work from home on Thurs to be with my youngest boy who would be home recovering from 'brain surgery'. I didn't know he could move so fast, he came flying around the corner into my office saying I needed to just take some time off to take care of my boy and not worry about working. Then he looked at the pictures of the kids on my desk and sighed, "You don't have children, I knew that. You have dogs...brain surgery?" I said, "Yeah, "brain" surgery, you know..." He just walked out shaking his head. He's a great boss, but I fear I may be pushing him into early retirement. |
:lol tears :lol tears :lol tears Thanks for the belly laugh!!!! I needed that :D :D Very cute and funny yorkie story!! I love it! |
O my gosh as I was reading your thread, I have the tv on and that song just came on the Today show. lol.
