Soft mesh harnesses... Has anyone been able to find these in stores? I've checked PetSmart and Pet Co. Are they only available online? Terrier Toys, Terrier Gifts, Terrier Collectibles - terriertoys.com: Puppia Soft Mesh Harness |
No...you won't find them at retail stores, some boutique stores carry them. I bought mine on Amazon and cannot rave about it enough...I LOVE MINE!! We got the step in vest velcro type....so great!! I did see them at our local Three Dog Bakery. |
Stores carry them in my area, but they are all higher-end pet boutiques. Try Googling Puppia and the name of your city and see if there are retailers in your area. It's definitely better to buy in a store until you are sure how the sizing fits on your dog. I bought all this Puppia stuff online for Thor and it doesn't fit his body that well. |
If you do know the size you need ebay has many sellers with Puppia harnesses, usually a few dollars cheaper than the boutiques. |
I noted you are in Georgia, if you are in the Atlanta area I can recommend Top Dog on Mansell Rd in Roswell. They carry Puppia harnesses and will help you fit it properly for your dog. I had a heck of a time finding a harness that would fit Sophie properly (big head little body), I took her into Top Dog and they helped me with fitting a Puppia Harness. Good luck and like another poster said EBay has a lot of sellers, once I figured out how which size to get her I bought additionals from an Ebay seller. Also I was in Petco last week and they have an Puppia "type" harness they are selling. Haven't tried that one yet, so I cannot make a recommendation. |
I just purchased one tonight for $27 (w/ tax) at this pet store in CA. I can't wait to try it out tomorrow. DH don't know about it otherwise he will kill me. |
I hope I am allowed to do this New here yorkie harness, Home Garden items on eBay.com |
I have never seen them in stores around here. I order mine from ebay. |
I bought one for Baxter at a small pet store here in Maine, Then I saw one online at Fetchdog.com. so I bought it for Zeke. Then I saw them at Petco here in Maine. Now mind you they are a different name, but they are the mesh harness, with suede straps. I absolutely love it for Baxter, and Zeke. Good luck with getting them. They are on the expensive side though |
We LOVE the Puppia Johnny must be like Sophie as the small is snug over his head so I went with the medium and took it in to fit more snugly around his chest. Puppia is the only harness he doesn't chew...can't tell you how many others he chewed up...even the Easy Walk which has a guarantee. I can't say enough good things about the harness and they're on eBay for about $20-some even with free shipping-eBay Item #120314642593 |
Snickers wears a XS perfectly in the set in velcro vest type. Snick is 3.4lbs and has a neck diameter of 6 inches, and a girth of 10 inches. This harness fits like a glove with still room for him to grow if he does since the velcro is adjustable. Xs in the step in is hard to find. Paid 27 bucks for it. Thank goodness my husband adores Snickers (even nore than me sometimes) and doesn't mind the $$. I want the LV dog carrier so bad, but that will never happen. LOL!!! |
I use Puppia but I noticed that our Petco store here in MD started carrying a VERY similar harness under their brand name. I do not see them in the Petco online store though. |
