Oh No I have to wait a few more weeks My breeder just told me yesterday that she is going to hold my baby a few more weeks since he is just clearing 1lb :-( I really wanted him this week, but I am trying to be patient. She said she would feel more comfy having him with her until a little bit longer. :( I know , I know... I am trying to be patient, but I love him already and he doesn't even live with me yet. At least I get to visit him :D |
I know the feeling. i had to wait 2 days for my baby and it felt like eternity. It will be worth the wait :] At least you know your baby is coming from a good home. |
It'll be better If the mom is still nursing your baby, just think how much healthier he/she will be when you get him/her home! Mine weighed exactly 2 lbs. when I got her, and she was still soooooooo small....And just think how clean your floor will be for the next few weeks lolol...Love Maggie & Apple:aimeeyork |
It's best not to take the puppy till it's 12 to 14 weeks old, and even longer if it's on the very tiny size. I got Zada and Razael at 14 weeks and Azrael at 5 months. They had a wonderful start in life and leaned so very much from their mom and litter mates. (except Razael was the only child :D) Just buy a photo album, start taking pictures of your baby with his litter mates and his mom, and dad if he is also in that home. |
wow just think how lucky are you that you are getting a pup from a breeder who cares that much :) |
Sounds like you have a good breeder. Congratulations on your new baby! |
The poor little guy.... He'll be better with mom until he gains weight. You don't want to bring home a sick little guy... My breeder had one left when I picked up Milo. She was so tiny. They were keeping her until she gained weight too. :aimeeyork That's a good breeder if ya ask me;) |
I know how the waiting goes!! I was supposed to get my baby last week but life happened and I had to leave town on emergency, so I had to wait one more week :( Hang in there, time will go by before you know it!! Plus you can spend more time making sure the house is ready before the baby comes haha, who knows what kind of trouble the puppy will get into when it comes. Lol. |
There is alot going on between 6 weeks and 12 weeks. Mom is socializing her pups and teaching them. This is an important time. Im glad you have a breeder that cares... |
Congrats on your new addition! Waiting sucks. I am waiting too.. not fun..but worth it! |
I know how you feel!!! I had to wait for my Gracie... she was suppose to come home one day and then the next thing I heard was ... oh shes not coming until next week... it was THE WORST thing EVER!!! but I understood like you do... but its GREAT once they do get home!!! I remember I couldnt sleep the night before and the night of!!! I was REALLY tired... but it was sooooooooooooooooooo nice to have her!!! so... I feel you!!! just keep checking in on her/him!!! I know it is HARD to wait... but when the time comes it will be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it!!! |
