is he a teapot? charlie is going to be 7 months this weekent..I just weigh him on my scale in the bathroom..he is at 5 lbs right now. I wonder what his adult size is going to be. He looks big b/c he has a very long body and tall legs. |
He probably wont get too much bigger. Most small dogs stop or slow down thier growing between 6 months and a year. |
I am sure you will get more knowledgable answers but Bentley is about 10 months old and hasn't grown much in a while. He has been the same 7 lbs for several months. |
Jackson's about 9 pounds at 5 months! Actually, he may be more now but the last vet visit he was 8.6 pounds and that was 3 weeks or so ago. |
I don't think he'll be a teapot. He has a good chance of being under 7 lbs. |
Roxie gained about 1/2 pound after she was 7 months old. She is 4.5 lbs at 1 1/2 years but looks bigger than my 5.6 one because she has really long legs. |
the length of charlie's body along is a little longer than 12 inches. When he stretch it looks longer. He looks funny when he does his stretch after his nap..he looks like a cat with his back curve up. |
According to the Yorkie growth chart http://devinecaninesnc.com/Documents...th%20Chart.doc a 26 week old pup weighing 5 lbs would have an estimated adult weight of 6 lbs. Since he's 5 lbs at 28 weeks (not shown on chart) he should be under 6 lbs. Are you hoping for a teapot? |
it doesn't matter if he is on the smaller size or a teapot. He is perfect. I would like him a little bigger that way I wouldn't have to worry about him hurting himself so much. |
