Tinkerbell's hurt feelings I have never experienced a more sensitive breed than a yorkie. Tinkerbell gets such hurt feelings that she will not get over until you make up to her. This morning my husband wouldn't let her jump up in his lap because he was doing bills, she had such hurt feelings. Even when I went over to her she cowered down. When my husband saw how she was acting he told me to bring her to him and he loved on her for a minute, and I'll be darn if she wasn't all better. She reminds me of a real child! Is Tinkerbell just overly sensitive or are other yorkies like this as well? |
I think their sensitivity is what make Yorkies so much fun AND so much work! |
oh, no! Poor Tink! Mine can be sensitive but not that much. Now my mom's malt...if you fuss at her, she literally won't "speak" to you for a couple of days! Glad that she's all better! :p |
Pippa is the same way. If she doesn't get her way, or we tell her to stay out of something, she pouts just like a little kid! It's kinda funny-but we try not to laugh to encourage it....but I'm such a sucker for that little ears down, big brown eyes, sad look. |
Aw poor Tinkerbell!!!! I have noticed my dogs are sensitive too. They will hide after we get after them. |
Stewie is very sensitive. If you walk in from being gone for a little while and go right into the bathroom or lock yourself into another room, he will ignore you for an hour. He gets so *pissed* when you don't love on him and pick him up when you first walk in. Its hilarious to me. Poor Tinky. Maybe she is PMSing?? hehe. just joking ;) |
awwwwwww poor tinker!! mine are all senstive too they do the same thing if i leave them for a few hours they all snub me off wont give me the time of day until they get over it and then come up and want love. I think there human at times LOL |
awww poor tink. mine is sensitive too. when you walk in the door HE'S the first one who you say hi to. if i walk over to my other dog and give/get kisses tucker freaks out and won't come near me. he acts all sad and depressed. |
Aww, poor Tinkerbell! I hope she feels a lot better now. :) Yoda can get like that too and sulk after he growls for attention and doesn't get it. I think part of it is that while we have other things to entertain us (Internet, TV, music, and other people), their whole lives revolve around us (and perhaps any furry brothers and sisters). So when they don't get the attention from us, they can get sad about it, since their lives revolve around us ONLY. If that makes any sense... |
aww poor tinkerbell!! |
Mine are absolutely extra sensitive! If Hallie is mad at me she will turn her back to me and refuse to give me kisses. Simon does the same thing, when I tell him to kiss me he licks me on the nose but if he is mad he will turn his head the other way until HE feels like not being mad any longer ;) silly monkeys |
Kacee is still a bit young yet for me to speak about that, however, Muffin was extremely sensitive. If I was excited about something and didn't pick her up the instant I came in, she would just hang her head and it broke my heart, of course, and I felt like a jerk! If she even thought she didn't get something she wanted, she would lie down with her rear end toward me and lay her head on the floor and no matter what I said she wouldn't look at me. Of course, I couldn't stand it and I'd always get up and go soothe her hurt feelings. I couldn't stand to see her feel hurt. |
