Teething, how long? Anyone know how late teething can start? Or how long it can take? I don't mean the canines that can get stuck, just the other baby teeth. Mr. Big, I thot had gone thru the teething stage and then he started having the copper penny smell of blood in his breath again. I was just reading the other post on bad breath when I started wondering how long it can go on and how late they can start teething. Sylvia |
hmmm I DO remember that smell - I don't have answers but I think mine were under a year old when all their baby teeth fell out or adult teeth grew in - I'm not postitive but with Chanel all her baby teeth fell out on their own - and she had a full set at around 9-12 months - my memory isn't that great but I hope this helps a bit. |
Teething My breeder told me that they are usually done teething around 8 months, although I know that they can retain their baby teeth for longer than that (by adult teeth should be in by around 8 months). |
Gizmo actually had to have some of his baby teeth removed when he want in to get neutered. But I know some of them fell out even afterwards. The vet said usually teething starts at about 5 months. Gizmo was a little later, but the vet thinks it's because he was a Puppymill/BYB dog. He's now going on 7 months, and I found a tooth yesterday that he was palying with. |
