Tobie is such a copycat! Did your puppy do this? He has been cracking me up because he wants to do everything is older brother and sister are doing. When they eat, he wants to eat; when they drink water, he wants to drink water; if they are sniffing something, he has to check it out also. Jasmine just jumped up and gave me a kiss on the nose and then Tobie did! lol. I know that little kids do this but I didn't know that puppies did. lol. Is it normal for puppies to copy what the older dogs do? |
Awww, he sounds too cute to be true! LOL Makes me want to get my girl a sibling immediately too! Problem is, if s/he copies her behaviour then s/he'll act all aloof and make mommy beg for attention and be stingy with kisses unless mommy disappears for a little while. S/he'll also be expecting treats often and be sleeping on every end and center of the bed at night. And my poor cat will get both of her ears chewed silly but lucky her, she'll get two tongues catering to her little behind. I don't think they all do that but I'm no expert as I usually only have one dog at a time and not so young. You are a very lucky one! Twice the affection! And at least Tobie is only copying the "good" behavior so far! :) |
Ha! Mine pick up each other's bad habits. Rusty digs his back feet in the dirt after peeing or pooping, and Eddie picked it up right away. Cracks me up. All he had to see it was once, and he decided it was a macho thing he wanted to do. |
I always thought that's how they try to bury their droppings. Isn't that a show of modesty? Except, like most "macho" men, it's generally a sloppy attempt at best! :p I know my old male Tibetan Spaniel used to do that. My female shih-tzu only did so on occassion. My yorkie girl doesn't even try. So anyway, I'm not sure it's such a bad habit if you look at it in their perspective. ;) I hope my next one copies all of the good from my girl or maybe my girl will copy my next guy's affectionate nature~! I can always hope! |
Adorable and pretty darn smart! I can imagine a little one following around the other two trying to figure out how to get along in his new home. That's really smart. If he imitates potty habits-as long as they're good ones, you're set!:happyw: |
Too funny, but so true! We just got a little 11 week old male. He does exactly the same thing. Everything lil fu fu does ... he does. Makes me laugh! |
My two are always doing things like that and they are 2 years old. We also have an adult cat and a 6 month-ish kitten and everytime our adult cat (Mojo) gets up to eat, she follows along behind him. |
Yep, Jackson's the same way. And it's not always a good thing cuz when the other dog starts barking - he starts barking. Not fun. |
