What a difference a week makes! Puddin' will be 10 wks old on Friday. Last week she stood placidly in the sink as I bathed her. She shivered and looked at me pitifully, but she stood stock still. Today, only a week later, she was slipperier than a salmon and just as determined to get away! Our bathroom, which is huge, has a step down to the dressing area. The sinks and shower are one step up. Last week Puddin' was too small to navigate that step. We discovered a couple of days ago that she is now capable of it...by finding what my husband calls "parcels" on the shower floor. Now I have put a puddle pad in the shower for her and she goes in there to use it...it is the farthest point in the room from her food and water dishes and bed. I can only imagine what next week will bring! |
They grow so fast! |
It is amazing how fast they learn and get "comfortable." I find that same behavior in all new situations: Meeting new dogs, hearing strange noises, traveling on a plane. Just a couple times, and they're confident. It's very cool. |
Note to Puddin': bathtime is supposed to get easier for your momma! Snoopy is almost a year old, and I miss the puppy days.... |
awwwww I remember some of the little signs when my 2 were growing up. Getting up or down stairs was one. Sooo cute! :) :) |
Oh boy, I am beyond amazed at how much Nikko has grown and changed in his personality from 3mo old to 6mo. You have SO much fun and discovery ahead - these little furballs have such amazing personalities!!! About once a week, Nikko will show us some new side of himself, as he becomes more comfortable and mature and bigger - jumping onto the couch by himself, playing with toys while he's rolling around on his back, digging, the list is neverending. His latest is napping in the sun, which is so sweet and comfy looking. My favorite development however, was when he finally started deciding that his poops and pees looked better in the backyard than in our living room, lol. Lauren & Nikko |
