Oh, those kids!! Yogi is growing so much right now. He's 6 months younger then Gracie Ruth, but he's taller, longer and I'm sure weighs more then she does right now. She's having more and more trouble "winning" when they play. She's having to rely more on her advanced intelligence, superior speed and agility to out maneuver him. He's still my lovable little Yogi Bear, but I think the 'spring' weather has infused him with energy and he's playing a bit more enthusiastically lately. Last night he grabbed her by the top knot and was spinning her around and around in circles. G was growling and snarling the whole time. You could just hear her saying, "You just wait until I get loose. I'm going to open up a whole can of whup-butt on you!" And true to her word she did. I told Yogi to let her go and good boy that he is he immediately dropped her and said, "Ok Momma" She immediately proceeded to chew him up and spit him out in little pieces. Well as much as she could without actually touching him. ;) She was flying all around and over him making so much noise you'd think there was 10 of her. She had him spinning in circles and he was trying to figure out what was going on and how to 'protect' his most vulnerable part...his tail. :p He finally just plopped his bum down and sat on his tail. That's when G hit him full speed and knocked him over. She stopped and looked at him, her top knot drooping wearily over one eye, with the biggest smug grin on her face, looking for all the world like she'd just conquered King Kong. She walked over gave him a little sniff, either to be sure he was ok or truly conquered. Then she looked up at me, "I guess I showed him who's still top dog, huh Momma." He gets up and wiggles his way over to G and they sniff and run off together to see what new mischief they could get into. Shortly after that I saw Yogi dragging G thru the living room as she was franticly trying to hang onto the loofa dog toy. Kids...gotta love 'em. :hearts6: |
WOW - those kids :). I may have intervened, but it's better to let them work it out themselves. What's their weight difference? |
teresa :lol tears i can totally picture that in my mind...you have such great kids :D you really had me LOLing for real...thanks to you, my coworkers think i am nuts :p |
Oh Teresa, they are so funny,Yogi could wup her behind, but he does not have a mean bone in his body.......I have not seen that side of Gracie. She always presents herself very LadyLike... |

Gracie Ruth weighs just under 4 lbs and he's probably just over. I would say they are within 1/2 lb difference right now. Not a lot, but enough that G can't push him around so much any more. |

Is that Bree in your avatar? She's turning into a little looker, isn't she!! |
:eyetearss I can picture exactly what you're describing! Chelsea thinks she's the 'boss' because she's a little bigger than Murphy, so she'll pick on him until he's had enough. Once he's reached his limit he turns into a little firecracker and sets her straight (for about 5 minutes). Thanks for the laugh! :) |

I just got my Milo (#2) Thursday!!! I love watching them play!!!! Your story sounds so familiar. Mine are still working on their pecking order. I put a box in a pillow case and tied a knot. I keep their toys in there. They empty it and play with the box. They love chewing it up and can't get the pieces because they're in the pillow case. Milo gets on top and Chloe pulls him around the room. I love watching them do this!!!! |

haha I could just imagine the whole thing, there so smart. How cute =) |
Thank You!!!!! I needed that laugh. Your babies sound as if they are hilarious. I hope when I get my second addition they get along as well as your babies. I am still laughing as I type. I just can't get the mental picture out of my head. |

Yogi is such a bumble along happy go luck type of guy. Gracie can be soooo bossy it's really funny to watch how he frustrates her attempts to be the "big sister in charge". And truly he'll be doing something and I'll tell him to quit and he will look up at me with this big loving grin on his face, "Ok Momma." I could just eat him up! :D |
