They're just dreaming. Maybe you'll even hear a little bark. Mine makes these tiny barking noises, so cute. :animal36 |
It's normal :) Just wait till he has a nightmare, then you'll really freak! lol |
its so cute when they dream! sometimes Bentley barks or growls haha I wonder what they are dreaming about! |
Pretty sure its normal Callie does it and sometimes makes noises and twice she has waged her tail its soooo cute. |
haha this makes me laugh bc i was TERRIFIED! i knew that dogs dreamed but honey seemed to have sorta like a seizure!!! she would violently twitch and growl and her eyes would be open. So i called my friend back in the states (she's a very respectable vet) and she told me that with smaller dogs that sometimes it is worse. She also stated that it could have been a nightmare (already stated in this thread) so i dont worry now and now i just laugh b/c it is kinda funny to watch. i like to imagine she's chasin after birds cuz she does anyway lol :p |
Mine do it and I think they are dreaming |
It is normal. Maxi does that too. ;) |
Pao does it too. Sometimes, you can see his little feet moving real fast as if he is running and chasing some thing.:D |
1st time Tobie ever did that it was about 1 in the morning and I called Doggie911 (vet) and paged them to call me back. Well lets just say the vet was not to thrilled with me when he called back to see what the problem was..lol..but he understood. Oops..now they call me the crazy blonde whenever I take Tobie in. |
Yeah! When Hiro was a little baby he always twitched and twitched and his little heartbeat was so fast! I was scared the first time! I tried to shake him to wake him up and he wouldn't wake up! :O I panicked but I eventually woke him and he looked at me like I was a crazy momma!! Now, when he dreams and makes little barkey noises I stop ALL activity in the house, mute the TV and tell my husband to listen to him cause he's so cute! hehe |
riley's done it a couple times! the first time i was like what the heck  but it was just cus he's dreaming. i remember the first time he's let out a little bark in his sleep.. i thought it was madison then i realized it was coming from under the covers but riley was asleep! its so cute when he does it ;) |
Fancy does this too. My guess seems to be right along with everyone else's, they are dreaming. I think it is cute to watch when the make tiny barking noises - I do wonder what they are dreaming about though!:p |
I always joke and say "Missy's chasin' squirrels again in her sleep" ;) |
Ha ha. I agree. Normal, but I do admit to feeling bad for them. I'm always afraid a big dog is chasing them in their dreams. If you want a laugh, check out this dreamer. Sleeping Dog Runs Into Wall*Video |

It is normal. It seems when they have had an exciting day they do it more. My little newborns will chase rabbits when they are on their mommas teat. I always wonder what they could have to dream about when they haven't done anything except get born and suckle. hmmmm |
