Erect Ears JUst when I thought my four month old Yorkie would never hold his ears erect, this morning he is consistently holding one (the left) ear erect. Is there any chance he will do the same with the right ear? |

Squirt was that way. Ears down for the longest time. I accepted it. Then one ear up & one ear down. Oh no  . Later the second ear went up. Squirt's ears didn't stand until about six months. So, don't worry :) . |

I was going to ask this same question. I got my little yorkie a couple of weeks ago. He is almost 12 weeks old and I was wondering if his ears were supposed to stand by now or if they ever would. It doesn't matter to me, I think his floppy ears are cute but I know most yorkie's have erect ears so I was curious. |

I have come to the conclusion that when Fiona really wants something she will put her ears up. She is almost a year old, and they are floppy, but erect when she wants it. so i got the best of both worlds!!!!!! :) |

I also head that when they start getting their adult teeth they will go floppy again even if they were up before...not sure about that though. |

If you want the ears up make sure the ear hair is "shaved". You can "tape" them up too, but trimming the hair short or shaving is easier. |

Jackson's JUST started standing up, he's almost 5 months old. |

I was wondering about Jorja's "earectile dysfunction" too. I guess after reading about Squirt and others we won't get too concerned until she's a little older. She is now 14 weeks and just what the doctor ordered for this clinically depressed middle aged 40-something mom...even with one ear up and one ear down. |

milu's ears were 'up' ever since i got her. but they do go 'down' if the hair on the ear grows too long. but a trip to the groomers will fix it. the groomer cuts the hair behind the ear off, and her ears pop up again! :D |
