I have 3 yorkies: 1 is about 8 a female, another is 3 a female, and the new one to the pack is almost 2 and a male. My problem is the last 2 months Tillie and Teddy are fighting over who is going to be the leader besides mom.
Tillie has always been the baby and spoiled rotten, and now Teddy is wanting to be the leader and Tillie does not like this. What can I do to stop this tiff?:aimeeyork

I know how you feel! I have Mac that is 2 1/2 years 6 1/2lbs and Maci that is 6 months 5lbs. They fight over most everything! All toys have been put up because no matter what Maci picks up it becomes a tug-of-war resulting in Maci being drug and slung all over the house. Its really funny to watch and she doesn't seem to mind, but I'm scared she will be hurt plus sometimes it would turn into a fight,.Snacks are a battle of who can get theirs first! Chews, Mac will take his and put it up on the couch(she cant get up there) and take Maci's away from her and go lay in his bed and chew away...Now that Maci is older she will fight to get hers back and we have had about 5 full blown dog fights! The last one I was afraid I would get bit breaking them up...(I didnt)...when they fight, I fuss at both and put them into different rooms for 10 mins or so(they hate it and cry and scratch at the door) until I calm down and they can be nice.. ..when they come out its like nothing has happened and they are soo happy to see each other..IDK and have no magic answers because I am going through it too...
I try to pay extra attention to Mac such as picking him up first when I get home. Making both of them sit before I give them a snack seems to be helping with that.
It really scared me reading a post on here because one lady had to
re-home one of hers because they couldnt get along...Things seem to be getting better. I just have to stay on top of whatever they do..Someone told me that eventually they will figure out the pecking order and will settle down..I hope so..

I have problems like that as well .. My girls , just turned 2 on the 21st .. fights have gotten vicious that I thought I would have to find one a new home .. however, seems the closer to 2 they reached the better its getting and they are learning commands and that seems to be helping .. I have hired a dog trainer who is comming on SUnday to help me get control of them both so they see me as the leader .. Its very fustrating to say the least and scary when they go at it .. good luck to you ..

My girl can get a little aggressive toward my Westie. I get down low and put her on her back until she calms. I keep repeating this whenever I see her give him THE LOOK...
