Need advice on carriers I want to take Lucky with me places in a carrier, but I don't know if she'll be comfortable, too hot, or if she'll try to jump out. She is very active, so I don't know if she'll want to stay in it. Also, she weighs 9-10 lbs, so I don't know if she'll get heavy after a while. Which carriers would you recommend that would be comfortable for me and her? |
I love the carriers and the sooner and more oftent hey are in them the better. they make them so they are comfortable and they have a hook inside so the cannot easily jump out. There are lots of great websited that sell them but everyone eally likes the Celtei which i don't have but want to get. Good luck, |
Depends on your shoulders, but even at roughly seven pounds, Yoda can be a burder in a carrier if it's strapped to my shoulder for long periods of time. I believe Petco and Petsmart allows you to take your Lucky and let her test-drive (jump into) some carriers and see what works best for you. Perhaps try to carry her for 10-15 minutes and see if it's tolerable for you. Otherwise perhaps consider a stroller, as some folks have had good luck with that! :) |
I agreed with Fasteddie there are many carriers out there it will be great if you can get to try them out with the little one. Also a stroller is a good choice. |
I have a few carriers- a sling one from Petedge that I think will be ok once she is bigger but she is too small yet. I have a purse type bag off of ebay and she loves that- she has been in it from the day I got her. Then I was at the state fair and saw a carrier with mesh side it is almost like a crate but with a strap that I put cross ways and carry the bag part in front of me. She loves this one- she can roll everywhich way- she goes in it to sleep on her own when we are in the camper- like she does her crate at home. I would agree with fasteddie and go try one out and see what fits you and your baby the best! 6 pounds does start to wear on your shoulder after miles of walking! I wish someone would have told me that in high school before I gained 100 pounds! I wonder why we don't feel it like that when we gain it???? |
