First I made her the coat I posted in another thread. Today, I spent 1/4 of the day figuring out what kind of dress I wanted to make her, 1/2 the day hunting through my sewing room looking for the fabric I wanted to use and then I got to put it all together. I need to make her a hairbow to match now.

They're having a doggie fashion show here next month. Do you think I should enter her with this dress? Or should I make something different?

She's not spoiled...she's blessed! Blessed to have a Momma who not only loves her to pieces, obviously ;), but one that can sew! Beautiful dress for a beautiful girl.

Yes. Thank you! I used to design bridal gowns and still occasionally do. So I have tons of left over fabrics from that. 5 18-gallon rubbermaid tubs to be precise! Teiya's going to have quite the formal wardrobe as a result. There's no way she'll ever be able to wear all the stuff I'll make her! If I'm encouraged, I may sell some of them.

Love the dress...its a good thing Tobie is a boy because I would be spending so much more money on clothes if he was a girl! I think you should enter, I love the dress, it is soo adorable!

I've put a few more things together today but haven't gotten them all finished. When I do, I'll be sure to post pictures.

I've had SO many people tell me I need to sell my stuff. I'd never considered it before but I may. I wouldn't necessarily take orders (though I would be willing to put together something if someone requests it). It would more or less be whatever I managed to get done. With 8 parrots, 4 children, a cat and a princess in the house, finding time to sew can be a challenge sometimes :(

You are so gifted. I wish that we lived closer, I would ask you to teach me how to sew!! :) That is my next "thing" to learn how to do. I want to sew for Daisy Mae!

Please consider selling some of your creations. They are worth sharing!

The smaller the garment, the harder they are to assemble because getting into small seams can be tricky. If you have a sewing machine, I could probably teach you over the internet and the phone. I've done that before. You start with a simple project and work your way up to something complex. I'll warn you, it's an addicting and expensive hobby. I started sewing 18 years ago. I now have 2 computerized sewing/embroidery machines, an overlock machine and a 6 needle industrial embroidery machine in my shop! I'm not even going to get into how much I've spent on thread, fabric and accessories!

Your dress and little girl are beautiful. You're really talented. Since you have the machines, material and thread I think you should definately make and sell your dresses. I bet you would get so many orders that you would be busy for a long, long time.
